Narrator has harsh “S”
Revisado: 12-10-21
I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep listening to this after the first ten minutes. The narrator has a really harsh “S” that was somehow amplified worse by a stereo speaker. Felt like an assault on my ears and S is a very common sound! But the story had pulled me in. So I listened to it reasonable quietly on headphones and the effect was lessened. Recommend trialing the voice before you buy if you are sensitive to these types of things.

Why is there weird background music?
Revisado: 08-26-17
Story was good. A bit too many gratuitous sex seems that seemed completely unnecessary to me, but otherwise a good story.
What drove me crazy was that occasionally at the end of chapters really loud music would start playing that nearly drowned out the narrator. Completely unnecessary and ruined parts of the book for me. We can understand there is suspense without loud, unwanted music!
