not for a true novice
Revisado: 06-11-21
some knowledge is required to understand much of what is being discussed. there's no glossary for the terminology, so a true novice can quickly be left clueless.

Historia
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

Impressive
Revisado: 10-27-20
I don't know why I didn't expect Mariah to be as good a writer as she is a singer... but afterall, she writes songs, so it should come as no surprise that she has a way with words; and I got to see it here. I've always been a huge Mariah Carey fan, and it is I was indulged to hear details about her life and her career, directly from her lips. good story.. however in don't believe she was a virgin until Tommy. Sorry Mariah...not buying it angel!

Historia
Liberals know they’re within reach of radically transforming America. They don’t like the US Constitution. They’re allergic to Americans’ “gun culture”. They find our faith and our devotion to family distasteful. And our commitment to liberty positively sends them into a panic. As soon as the Democrats get power anywhere, they stand ready to throw our God-given rights under the bus of political correctness, transgender insanity, and socialism (the economic system that always promises equality and utopia, but somehow always delivers resentment, poverty, and decay).

Fearless and Sharp as a Tac!!!
Revisado: 08-23-19
Extensive research and hard-dispute-facts support each claim and anecdote made. Whether you agree with Wheeler's ideaology or not, it's a useful source of unfiltered information. Although extremely biased, she has the tendency to break down the arguments of her opponents with razor precision. The beginning sounds a bit strong and transphobic, but I think it's a hook for hard rights to stay tuned... it could turn others immediately Off... but continue on and you'll be presently surprised.

Historia
More than 44 percent of Americans admit to losing sleep over stress. And while most of us do everything we can to reduce it, Stanford psychologist and best-selling author Kelly McGonigal, PhD, delivers a startling message: Stress isn't bad. In The Upside of Stress, McGonigal highlights new research indicating that stress can, in fact, make us stronger, smarter, and happier - if we learn how to embrace it.

Good Book!👍

I already knew that Kelly McGonigal is brilliant... which is why I wanted a deeper understanding of what she has to share. To my pleasant suprise, she's also the narrator of this audiobook, which makes for a seemingly more personal experience with the author.

Historia
Here is an impassioned plea for reason in a world divided by faith. This important and timely work delivers a startling analysis of the clash of faith and reason in today's world. Harris offers a vivid historical tour of mankind's willingness to suspend reason in favor of religious beliefs, even when those beliefs are used to justify harmful behavior and sometimes heinous crimes.

Not for the faint of ear or heart
Revisado: 12-31-17
Although I was not personally offended by Harris's words in this book, I can definitely see how many people would be! Harris spares no blunt criticisms of traditional religiosity, and shares little to no charitable words whatsoever regarding ALL of Islam. However, his brutally honest delivery is the only fault I find in his book, if that even is something to be criticized... and even that is delivered with an articulate tactfulness that is hard not admire.
