Enjoyed it. Especially the last 3 chapters. The appendices are valuable for comprehension of the magnitude of specificity of Creation.

I wish the book had preserved the 40-odd chapters
Revisado: 11-23-20
The audiobook abandoned the chapter format of the print copy. Therefore it is hard to access previous chapters as cited elsewhere in the book. Book is very technical. A glossary of terms would be helpful for the lay reader from outside the discpline.

Historia
Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

Politically incorrect but factually dynamic
Revisado: 03-10-20
Quite enjoyable once the reader becomes accustomed to the descriptions of torture and warfare. It is amusing to hear the narrator pronounce Pecos and Palestine. He does a good job with most of the other place names. The author gives excellent descriptions of the story using present day localities as the action plays out. The battles with the Comanches (Apaches and Kiowas) across 60 years of Anglo-Texan history are amazing and almost unique in the history of the US.

Special attention will be given to the influence of Oprah Winfrey's media platform in reshaping society by introducing and promoting certain books and authors.

Christian apologetics from an Eastern perspective
Revisado: 05-17-18
Outstanding! Compares Jesus' teachings to Buddhism, Islam, Hindu, New Age Spiritualism & atheism. Mr Zacharias grew up in India. His perspective of Christ's teaching is not encumbered by an American cultural background. He cannot contrast Jesus to other great religions and belief systems. In a 21st century multicultural society, Jesus alone and no other belief system is the Way the Truth and the Light.

Jesus Among Other Gods is a brilliant defense of the uniqueness of the Christian message. In addition to giving you the benefit of an impressive breadth of reading and study, Ravi Zacharias shares his personal journey from despair and meaninglessness to his discovery that Jesus is who He said He is.

Looking at Christ from a non-Western heritage
Revisado: 04-11-18
If you could sum up Jesus Among Other Gods in three words, what would they be?
Way Truth Light
Who was your favorite character and why?
Rev Zacharias outlines the uniqueness of Jesus Christ, the son of God, and juxtaposes Christ against the other religions in the world. Having been raised in India, his Christian apologetics are best to considered by those who do not/will not believe "Western writers". Mr Zacharias did not grow in a Western culture. He can best explain how "Christian privilege" is actually due to the Grace of our Lord and Savior and His death on the cross for our sins, while we were yet sinners. No other religion offers love, rest, forgiveness and relationship with our Creator as believing in Jesus Christ does.
Have you listened to any of Ravi Zacharias’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was moved by the systematic apologetics, explaining why Jesus Christ is different.
Any additional comments?
I wish that I could hear the "unabridged" version.
