Historia
In an age where pleasing people, puffing up your ego and building your résumé are seen as the methods to "make it", the Apostle Paul calls us to find true rest in blessed self forgetfulness. In this short and punchy book, best selling author Timothy Keller, shows that gospel humility means we can stop connecting every experience, every conversation with ourselves and can thus be free from self condemnation. A truly gospel humble person is not a self-hating person or a self-loving person, but a self-forgetful person.

A must read

The message of this book is liberating and life-changing. As others have said, it would be time well-spent to read or listen to this book weekly. I read it at least once per year, and I buy copies to share with others. I cannot recommend it enough!

Researched, practical advice
Revisado: 08-26-21
This is not a merely theoretical book, but instead, it gives numerous handles and tools to put the information to use in every relationship. I highly recommend it, and I'm probably going to read it again because of how valuable and helpful the content is.

Historia
A lifelong pursuit of knowing God should embody the Christian's existence. According to eminent theologian J.I. Packer, however, Christians have become enchanted by modern skepticism and have joined the "gigantic conspiracy of misdirection" by failing to put first things first. Knowing God aims to redirect our attention to the simple, deep truth that to know God is to love His Word.

Excellent audio production of an invaluable book
Revisado: 01-22-21
First of all, this book is one I consider a "must-read" for any Christian, or anyone trying to understand what biblical Christianity is. Packer is thorough, but not overly "heady," in what I would term an everyman's theology. Secondly, the performance and production are both excellent. It is clear, paced well (I listened at 1.4x speed and it was still quite discernable), and easy to listen to. I highly recommend this to anyone considering it.
