Historia
If it can happen in show business, it’s happened to Jon Cryer. Now he’s opening up for the first time and sharing his behind-the-scenes stories in a warmly endearing, sharply observed, and frankly funny look at life in Hollywood. In 1986, Jon Cryer won over America as Molly Ringwald’s loyal and lovable best friend, Duckie, in the cult classic Pretty in Pink in a role that set the tone for his three-decade-long career in Hollywood. He went on to establish himself as one of the most talented comedic actors in the business.

I did not find it useful.
Revisado: 09-03-12
What disappointed you about How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less?
I did not like the fact that you had to do some excerises with other people, I was working alone. I think we all want to be liked and we all need to work on our social skills and although there were a few tips to help oneself, I did not think there were many that really helped.
What was most disappointing about Nicholas Boothman’s story?
n/a
Would you be willing to try another one of Nicholas Boothman’s performances?
maybe
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less?
I did think some of the exercises were silly...

Historia
It has been the public's perception that Madoff investors were all extremely wealthy and all belonged to exclusive clubs. This perception has been reinforced by the media and the powers that be. The truth is, with very few exceptions, such as Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Picower and Stanley Chais, most were average, small time investors. This is their story.

One side of the story
Revisado: 05-15-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I live in South Africa and most of my friends are not interested in Madoff but I am fascinated with this Man. I would love to find out why he did this terrible thing. Was it the love of money, power, fame or just greed and because he could get away with it. Perhaps we will never know. Maybe I missed some of the stories in this book but mainly they all seemed to have the same story (a bit like my own story) grew up poor, worked hard all my life, invested carefully, lived simply). Very interesting but I must confess I would have liked to hear from people who were rich and wanted a above average investment when they could have chosen a more safer investment i.e. possibly Lehman Bros. (that would have been a mistake). Perhaps a rich, powerful charity - what happened to the charity. as I said I could be incorrect and possibly I missed those stories.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
All the stories were interesting
What three words best describe Diane Havens’s performance?
listenable, pleasant, easy on the ear.
Do you think The Club No One Wanted to Join needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
possibly for the reasons given above. what happened to the victims - long term
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed the book.

What a loss to the world
Revisado: 04-19-12
What made the experience of listening to Steve Jobs the most enjoyable?
Having an ipod and ipad have changed my world and my life for the better. Going to the Gym and Walking my dog was boring but having an ipod to listen to made excerising fun and informative. I have become slimer, healthier and happier. I wanted to know about the man who made this possible. I was not disappointed. I was captivated by Steve Jobs - you certainly might not have liked him as your boss or your friend but I certainly admire him for his genius. I loss a couple of pounds just walking and listening to this fabulous story of a
wonderful, clever, flawed man.
What other book might you compare Steve Jobs to and why?
Nothing compares to this book
What does Dylan Baker and Walter Isaacson (introduction) bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Steve Jobs comes alive and even though i am not a techincal person I felt I understood what he was doing and I loved the fact that he was an artist and he wanted to make the product beautiful as well as workable and efficient.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No - too long
Any additional comments?
I would certainly recommend this book to my friends but I realise it might not suit everyone.

Would you consider the audio edition of Kane and Abel to be better than the print version?
Yes I would consider the audio edition of Kane and Abel to be better than the print version
What other book might you compare Kane and Abel to and why?
Gone with the wind possibly.
Which character – as performed by Jason Culp – was your favorite?
Cain was my favorite
If you could rename Kane and Abel, what would you call it?
A Mistaken Life
Any additional comments?
I listened to Kane and Abel when I went for a walk with my dog. It made the walk interesting and time stood still. I know that this is not a new book by Jeffery Archer but the story was new to me. Jeffery Archer is visiting South Africa and coming to the Country Club near us. I so wanted to hear him speak but all seats were taken and there was a waiting list of 50 when I phoned for a place. Just shows how popular he is.
