Historia
He was dragged from the sea, his body riddled with bullets. There are a few clues: a frame of microfilm surgically implanted beneath the skin of his hip; evidence that plastic surgery has altered his face; strange things he says in his delirium, which could be code words. And a number on the film negative that leads to a bank account in Zurich, four million dollars, and a name for the amnesiac: Jason Bourne. Now he is running for his life.

Spoilt by the movie
Revisado: 03-12-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
My interest in the BOURNE stories was created by viewing the movies. I have only hear this one book so far. I could not gain the interest in it that I have had in other Audible books. I will try again with another BOURNE story and try again.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Obtain a new reader. Don't watch the movie first.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The story is involved, this is the way it is meant to be but needs a person with the ability of the author to make the story real in your mind. I didn't find this with this reader.
Any additional comments?
The movie spoilt this plus the reader. I will leave it for a while till the movies forgotten then try another one.

Wilbur SMITH enhanced

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Wilbur SMITH is a writer who can take you from your armchair and place you in a hot steaming jungle, on a clipper in full sail running before a fine wind, in a world war 2 mosquito fighter plane racing against time to save a life, in a world of deadly terrorists or modern day human slavery. His books are loved by those who follow his real to life stories. Now you can turn off the lights, live those worlds with the excitement, the fear, THE SOUND OF THUNDER as Tim Pigott-Smith brings life from the words of a great Author. Wilbur SMITHAs you will have guessed I am a great follower of the Wilbur SMITH stories and I find Audible listening enhances his work, taking it to another level. If his other books are as good as this I would recommend all his work in your Audible Library.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
I have read the story myself previously. To hear it in this manner adds another dimension to the enjoyment of reading and the excitement of the plot.
What does Tim Pigott-Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The author presents his subject information in a manner which indicates personal knowledge and experience, a lot of research and an ability to take the normal and twist it creating a new view of an old story.Tim brings to life the personalities of the subjects in the book, their feelings and ideas. He also gives the feeling he has researched his subject, has a understanding of the cultures and langages involved. Using this knowledge combined with his reading skills he adds to the life of the story, mysteries, romances, violence and every day life, he makes it real.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The occasional break/repeating of the narrator's words, not by him, electronic faults of a minor manner but enough to break a mood, feeling, interest in the subject. His voice is good for this type of story, a little boring when action slows but boosts your pulse when all cannons are firing.I could not listen to it all in one sitting, mainly because the story is so long. I tend to read to a time that is enjoyable and listening is the same. The name of the game is enjoyment, this is my way. Every-one is different !!!!!!
Any additional comments?
Yes - another Wilbur SMITH book please.
