What matters most to you? Should you focus on earning a living, pursuing your passions, or devoting yourself to the causes that inspire you? The surprising truth is that you don’t have to choose—and that you’ll find more success if you don’t. That’s the breakthrough message of the TOMS One for One movement. You don’t have to be rich to give back and you don’t have to retire to spend every day doing what you love. You can find profit, passion, and meaning all at once—right now.

I loved this book. I loved the story and how inspiring it was. Just last week I started my own local non-profit for my Community “Make Bullhead Better” and Blake’s story and advice were so helpful. Thank you so much!! And thank you for reading it as the author those are my favorite it means so much more coming from the writer themselves.

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

I enjoyed this book so much! I love that the author read it as it feels so authentic as well as her poetic style shines through. A very dear friend of mine just left a 12 year heterosexual marriage and has entered into a lesbian relationship. I have been really struggling with how to share Christ’s love but truth as well. I didn’t expect that reading this book would reveal a lot more about me and my personal need to pick up my cross daily and that God cares more about making us more like him than just our sexual orientation. Thank you Jackie for being brave enough to write the truth in love when our society is more about “love” with no truth and in the end that is not love at all.
