Perfect book 2

To begin, I understand where a lot of the negative reviews are coming from. However, the first book did not give a lot of the background/world building that we got in the second book. We learned a lot, which will set up readers for the third edition. I am disappointed with the lack if progression? I figured we would have been passed where we currently are but thats okay. I cannot wait for the third book! Hopefully its NOT a two year wait.

Fantastic book but could use a little more

After the first two books, the storyline has gotten very political. I understand the importance however, we get chapters of things not so important. I know the author has to add it so its not just ling qi getting power spike after power spike. I just wish there was more focus on general cultivation and bai meizhen.

This book series is.. interesting. Its not BAD. Its just always the same thing, such as “oh no he is so strong, what will he so???” — main character does something crazy and survives. Like we are 14 books in.. give me a break.

The progression fantasy/cultivation aspects of this book are phenomenal. I do wish that a particular relationship developed more (you know what I mean *cough*). This book is an amazing read. I highly recommend it to anyone.
