Historia
Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship.

Sometimes you’re in the mood for a cute steamy romance. This book was scratched that itch. Predictable and sweet in a good way.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Historia
Sixty-nine-year-old Arthur Pepper lives a simple life. He gets out of bed at precisely 7:30 a.m., just as he did when his wife, Miriam, was alive. He dresses in the same gray slacks and mustard sweater-vest; waters his fern, Frederica; and heads out to his garden. But on the one-year anniversary of Miriam's death, something changes. Sorting through Miriam's possessions, Arthur finds an exquisite gold charm bracelet he's never seen before.

Typical but entertaining enough
Revisado: 02-05-20
This story is entertaining in the way that you might like a movie that's "been done a hundred times". It's familiar, you recognize and predict what's happening/what they're doing with the character, but you just go along with it. Nothing surprising but its entertainment.

Too cutesy Unrealistic
Revisado: 02-05-20
I just found this story to be unbelievable. Everything wrapped up in a pretty bow. Just boiler plate blah of a story. It was disappointing, I've read two of Kristin Hannahs other books and enjoyed them (The Nightingale and The Great Alone) but this one is very below par by comparison. The narration was great though.

Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

What the heck? Terrible ending.
Revisado: 01-09-20
I am not one of those people who read a book and gets lost. Yet at the very end of this book the author throws in a line that has everyone saying “ah? What?” Google it and you’ll see. It’s like some kind of publicity stunt to get people talking about the book. Meanwhile it just leaves the reader dissatisfied and wondering what they read. Maybe it would read better in an actual book where you can flip back and check different theories or a movie with a visual montage like at the end of a sixth sense?? But not really working with the audible because frankly, I do not want to re-listen.
