This was a nice set of stories based on white Wolf
Revisado: 10-04-21
The stories were fine, well characterized by the White Wold RPG system and are highly recommended. BUT I have to say: Ce Sands was the best narrator I’ve run across (and I have a pretty big library of Audible books). I enjoyed her work so much, I’m going to buy a book or two just to experience more of her work - something I have never done before.

Loved this story, performed well. Very worth the read or listen. Between listening sessions, I found myself wondering how the story would end.

The city of Austin, Texas, "is fearfully dull", wrote young Will Porter to a friend in the spring of 1885, "except for the frequent raids of the Servant Girl Annihilators, who make things lively in the dead of night." Years later Will Porter would become the most famous writer in America - O. Henry, the toast of New York. The long-ago Austin servant girl murders would remain unsolved. But behind the O. Henry pen name, Will Porter was a man with secrets.

depressing and disturbing
Revisado: 06-28-17
This was a wild card read for me. I had no expectations going in, but I come from a family with some mental illness so I gave it a shot. The story was vividly descriptive of the era represented and very believable. The insights were realistic and painful through most of the story. However, it seemed that the author felt obligated to end on an upbeat note, which was so counter to the entire book as to seem forced.

Topic is important and relevant.
Revisado: 11-29-16
Story moves a bit slowly and tends to digress but important read for most folks because there is social relevance in modern 2016 climate and as we move into the next political era.
