"best hiding place is in plain view"

The Atlas Crusade's security forces crash the Virtual Reality Lab, run by Meliss and Lauren. Determined to save themselves, they'd planned to hide until the catastrophic event ended and then take off together. That is until something unexpected happens.

Narrator Garett Michael Brown gives "legs" to this story by Dixon Reuel and I enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended 5/5

A wonderfully written fantasy! Full of twists and turns, magic and mystical creatures. Love, hatred, jealousy and pain. And, for a change, this format made it seem like a whole new story!

I have to say I was very very pleased with the performance on this book. I rated the actual story as one of my top 10 of 2018, and Ginger Sue and Dustin Spieler were perfect choices to bring it to “life”.

Thank you again CJ Rutherford for a lovely world!

This was one of the first books I received from #AudiobookBoom, and it’s taken me over a year to finally decide not to finish listening after 10 chapters.

IMHO, this book is just too long, with too many stories strung together. I really enjoyed the beginning, but it dragged a lot after a while. I kept setting it aside and now have abandoned the story because I just don’t care enough. The narrator kept putting me to sleep. I can’t really recommend the audiobook but I love fairytales and if I ran across the book, I might actually try reading it 3/5

Before I begin this review two things: 1- my first- and only- “live” Rocky Horror Picture Show was when I was in my 20s, and I am now 62 and 2- Tim Curry[the original Frank, and “Doctor Scott” in Fox’ remake a couple of years back, which was ghastly] is quite ill and Richard O’Brien [the original Riff-Raff] has passed away. The Rocky “run” here in Upstate NY happens on Halloween only in 2018.

It seemed to take me forever to “read/listen” to this audiobook by Kevin Theiss, and that’s not because of the presentation in any way, no sir. This is Theiss’ memoir and he’s the perfect narrator for it. But it’s also Southern Florida in the 80s as a character vying for attention and it’s great to see it through his eyes. And, in my opinion, the epilogue is a great addition to the narrative

[I recently stumbled upon one of the people who worked at WSHE in Florida and although she doesn’t address the days of “live from..” shows, it was nice to here her validation of the station’s history. FYI: She is now an author.]

If you’re a RHPS “junkie”, you’ll love this audiobook. 5/5

I love a Christmas Carol, and at t1, I know the history, the ins and outs, have read numerous reworks past, present future. But I never would have thought of a YA-contemporary version.

And, I’ve had a great time wanting to kick Perry, and grew to love the foible filled Kerrill. This was wonderful.

[I received this AUDIOBOOK from the author. I am choosing to review it. I also purchased a copy of the ebook when it first came out in 2016 that I never actually read]

When Kate Davison, her rescue dog Bella and her boyfriend Michael get invited to Elysian Springs Spa and Retreat Center on a working vacation, Kate jumps on it. Leaving her studio in capable hands, and packing all of Bella's special diet into Michael's SUV, they head to the Center to teach Yoga around the wedding of the owners. And Kate gets a lot more than she bargained for when a wedding guest is found dead, floating in the Centers Hot Tub.

Kate's a fairly savvy sleuth, however, her relationships need a lot of work. Her best friend is acting strangely, and Michael wants to move their dating to a different level. How is she going to move forward with him when she can forget to take care of Bella at times? And all these strange and strained relationships around certainly are feeding her fears. All in all, I'm surprised she didn't go running off in terror... wondering if she just might be the next step in the killer's plan.

Tracy Weber's books are intelligent and as fantastically woven tight as a yoga mat. Her knowledge of Yoga and its affects are a happily laid foundation for this the second in the series. The choice of the reader Anne James makes the book come alive. Well done, highly recommended.

I am voluntarily reviewing this audiobook

Peyton is one kick*** cop, and she and her partner Marco are up to their coffee cups in trouble as a real estate agent is killed in a "paints lady" Victorian house. It's up to this dynamic duo to solve the case with the assistance- if you put it that way of the staff at the precinct and the ME, flamboyant Dr. Abe.

I loved the story. However, getting the narrator to do all the voices got a bit trying. Part of me wishes that she'd just read the story and forgot the voices.

(I was gifted this audiobook by the author in exchange for an honest review. I am also part of her street tean. However, in no way did this affect my honest review)

I love audiobooks when they are unabridged ( or if they are then the author needs to be the performer), however, it's been a while since I've listened to one so entertaining! That in part is because of the choice of narrator. Between Anne James performance of Tracy Weber's wonderful introduction to this series, I was lost in the moment as I learned a little more about yoga and just how sleazy some people are.

As for Bella...she stole the show without so much as a "woof". Highly recommended
