Historia
Ex-CIA master assassin Court Gentry has always prided himself on his ability to disappear at will, to fly below the radar and exist in the shadows - to survive as the near-mythical Gray Man. But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before. A killer who is just like him. Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry.

Historia
Joey Shannon, an alcoholic whose life has been going nowhere for 20 years, returns to his hometown for the funeral of his father. As he leaves town, he gets a mysterious second chance to relive the night in 1975 when his life began its downward spiral: to both literally and figuratively take the road that he didn't originally take. On this road he is supremely tested by conflict with his successful and charismatic older brother P.J., by conflict between his cynicism and his lost faith, and by conflict between the ultimate good and evil.

Boring
Revisado: 11-23-14
Would you try another book from Dean Koontz and/or Jeff Cummings?
I normally like Koontz but I'd be careful about buying more after that
What could Dean Koontz have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
The short stories part of this book not included. Buy the main story was boring, predictable and I was skimming wishing it would end soon
Any additional comments?
Koontz has much better than this - pass it over and pick something better

Historia
Bobby Charlton is Manchester United through and through. He was a member of the original "Busby Babes" and has devoted his career to the club, playing in 754 games over 17 years. During that period he won everything the game had to offer, played alongside such greats as Best and Law, suffered devastating defeats, and was involved in one of the greatest football tragedies of all time. Here, for the very first time, he tells the story of those United years.

Too short
Revisado: 10-09-13
Would you try another book from Bobby Charlton and/or Christian Rodska?
It is a quick gloss over a great career. Not many interesting back stories. Not even as good as the Munich movie which did a better job on Charlton's playing time at United. It's a good enough read but falls short at 2 hours. It barely mentions the Alex Ferguson times when Sir Bobby was a director. It would have been nice to see his viewpoints on more of this.
Has My Manchester United Years turned you off from other books in this genre?
No - I love sporting biographies but this was not a very complete one
Would you listen to another book narrated by Christian Rodska?
Yes - did a good job on Sir Bobby's accent
Do you think My Manchester United Years needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I would like to see a proper job done on a fitting tribute to Charlton from his young days to the world cup to the European cup and onwards to management and the boardroom and ambassadorship at United.
Any additional comments?
Worth about $3-$4 based on the short running time

One of the better private investigator tales
Revisado: 10-09-13
Would you listen to The Cuckoo's Calling again? Why?
It's a little slow in parts but the book is a good listen. I would listen to the sequel which I think is coming next year.
What other book might you compare The Cuckoo's Calling to and why?
If you like Ian Rankin's Rebus you would probably like Cormoran Strike in this book
Which character – as performed by Robert Glenister – was your favorite?
Performance of all characters was brilliant. They were well developed characters in the book but the voices were excellent
Any additional comments?
This is a good read but it is quite slow getting going. Characters are excellent.

futuristic cop thriller
Revisado: 09-19-13
What did you like best about Naked in Death? What did you like least?
I'm about half way through the book at the minute and to be truthful I'm hoping it will end soon! The story has potential but is slow moving and not a page turner. The voices are terrible and the 'Irish' accent of the male Rourke by a woman who sounds closer to Scottish is grating me.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Voices not great and the futuristic setting is a bit gimicky and not developed well. If set in the present there would be no real difference.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Voices not great
Do you think Naked in Death needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Possibly but I wouldn't read it!

Dated but ok read
Revisado: 09-11-13
What did you like best about The Black Echo: Harry Bosch Series, Book 1? What did you like least?
The voice is a bit annoying at times and he's not great at the female voice. The book is set before mobile phones and internet and sometimes this makes it sound very dated. However the story is alright if not a little predictable at times. But it was not time wasted overall I did enjoy it and would read one more in the series to give it another chance as it had potential to be even better.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Modernise it a little with mobiles and ditch the pagers!
What didn’t you like about Dick Hill’s performance?
Voices not great
Could you see The Black Echo: Harry Bosch Series, Book 1 being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Bosch played by Chris Noth
Any additional comments?
Think when I bought this it was a daily deal for around $4.95 which was very good value for this book

History for busy people. Listen to a concise history of World War One in just one hour. World War One brought with it the world’s first experience of Total War, involving all of the world’s great powers, polarized between the Triple Entente, led by Britain, France and Russia, and the Central Powers, dominated by Germany, Italy and Austria-Hungary. Around nine million men lost their lives in a conflict that introduced the horrors of trench warfare, machine guns, and toxic gas attacks.

Good introduction or refresher
Revisado: 09-11-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It is an hour well spent brushing up on the basic timelines of WW1. There are a few interesting back stories of the main events and it covers it well. It would be a good introduction to the story of the Great War and is well told.
However it is not meant to be a thorough book - it brushes over most of the main points. I have a bookshelf of WW1 books and this skims the surface but it is worth a read especially if you don't know much about the war.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Archduke Franz Ferdinand???!
