The Princess And The Pea
Revisado: 03-22-25
This is a nice and comedic fleshing out of the Princess and the Pea. It makes me see the story in a new light.

A New Old Fairy Tale
Revisado: 03-22-25
This is a wonderful fairy tale that loves old fairy tales, but adds new elements to make it fun. I did not expect the ending, but found it very fun when everything was said and done. I was left feeling satisfied when the story ended.

Follows The Formula
Revisado: 11-23-24
I enjoyed the retelling of the fairy tales and how Mary Poppins leaves more the final time. Glad that for the third book there's no attempt to be sneaky about it this time around. This book also reminds me why Jane and Michael's siblings are omitted from the movie adaptation.

Historia
Here is the timeless story of Mary Poppins, the world's favorite nanny, and her magical adventures with the Banks family. Mary Poppins is like no other nanny the Banks children have ever seen. It all starts when their new nanny is blown by the east wind onto the doorstep of the Banks house, carrying a parrot-headed umbrella and a magic carpetbag. She becomes a most unusual nanny to Jane, Michael, and the twins.

A strange series of events.
Revisado: 03-27-24
Mary Poppins is certainly more stern than the movie or stage play I saw. It's a very episodic book which makes it a fun and light read. It's not just about Mary Poppins, but the strange things that happen around her. I also forgot that the Banks had 4 children and not 2.
Worth reading if you want to see the difference between the Disney Movie and the book.

It was good for what it was, but I only listened to this after reading both Winnie The Pooh books. So I see it as a fun alternative take.

Continues where it leaves off

My only minor gripe is one of chapters seem to have an abrupt cut at the end. However, I loved the meeting of Tigger, Owl's House, Pooh Sticks, and the final story made me tear up.

Historia
Come with us to an Enchanted Place, a forest where Winnie-the-Pooh lived with Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga, and Little Roo. The stories are about Christopher Robin and these good companions having wonderful times getting in and out of trouble. It is all very exciting and, really, quite thrilling no matter how young or old you may be. It is painful to try and imagine what the world would be like without them.

I love the voices the narrator gives the characters and the calming music at the beginning and end. I never knew about the story of Kanga and Roo so that was a super special treat.

Worth The Read
Revisado: 09-23-21
I very much enjoyed the reading voice. There are a couple of weird edits/cut offs, but nothing that ruins the overall experience.
Excellent Classic that is enjoyable for children and adults alike.
