This is my favorite rock bio of all time. I love reading and listening to books about my favorite artists but most of the time they follow the same structure. What inspired them, the excitement of making it, and then the inevitable collapse into hard drugs and debauchery followed by apologies for the behavior and then ending with overcoming the struggle and re-discovering the art that they love. You get kind of bored with that same story over and over.

This one is completely different. I love the way it jumps back and forth and Dave just sounds like a really good dude. I'm so happy to hear that he lives up to the person I thought that he was.

This book is so fun too, filled with entertaining rock stories, of course, but also ghosts, ufos and mishaps. I just couldn't stop listening to it.

Dave's performance is also perfect. He is so good at it. I hate him for being so good at absolutely everything hahaha. it never seems like he's reading and he does different voices and delivers jokes with ease. it felt like he was sitting across from me at a bar or something telling me about his life.

I can't recommend this book enough. Give it a listen.

I know this is just a beginner's guide but I knew nothing about stoicism before this book so I was looking for a quick introduction to see if stoicism was for me.

As it turns out, I'm very interested and hopeful that these practices will help me live a better life.

The book itself is well performed, well written. I will definitely be giving it another listen and taking notes. it's concise, which is it's best quality. It gives you just enough without overwhelming. This gives you effective practical ways of dealing with anxiety, Anger, and life immediately. You don't have to sit through 10 hours of philosophy and guess how to apply it. The concepts are easy, though I suspect the practice is not.

I like that the book briefly covers the history as well as giving you more resources to study. it's really just a primer I guess.

I'm thankful to the author for turning me down this path. This was just what I needed, and what I was searching for.

This one will stick with me. The narration is so good. The author had a terrifying voice, and did an incredible job performing the various characters. His voice for the demon was scary as hell. This might be my favorite audio book in my library. I will definitely be revisiting this one.

As a Zeppelin fan, this gave me what I was looking for. I'm not sure how a feel about it though. The book was tough at times because Jimmy Page was a fantastic guitar player but also a weird guy that did some terrible things. I feel more connected with the music now that I know a little more about what he was doing, feeling, etc. so I don't regret it. His music wouldn't be the same if it was any other way. The book does a fantastic job of being unbiased, they lay it all out for you as it happened. I definitely don't think its for everyone, probably just the hardcore Zep fans out there.

This book connects all of the dots and fills in the gaps. It was really interesting to find out where it all comes from and understanding how each generation moved into the next gave me a lot more of an appreciation for what each one brought. If you are a music fan at all, even if country isn't your thing, this is a must. Its more than just country music, its a significant part of American history.

What an original way of doing an autobiography. It feels like James Taylor is sitting by his fireplace with his guitar telling you all about his life. I love that he tells you a little bit and then breaks into song. It's short but sweet.

I really enjoyed listening to this. The book is great and I thought Will Wheaton did a fantastic job. Not sure what the negative reviews are all about.

Skunk Works is the definitive history on stealth. Every minute is exciting, the first hand accounts from everyone involved are incredible from Ben Rich to the pilots themselves and the performance is top notch. I was surprised that they went so in depth on the engineering of these planes, especially the SR71 blackbird. This is the book to get if you've ever wanted to know more about the Blackbird, written by the guy that designed it.

Finally a book for SRV fans. At first this one was a little tough to listen to because it jumps between characters so much but you get used to it. The in depth stories behind the albums and the live performances are what made this one worth it for me. It covers his gear, amps, guitars, strings etc. and that was great because usually these things leave that stuff out for whatever reason.
