When I finish this book, the first time, I immediately started it again from the top to keep squeezing all the golden nuggets out. I recommended it to anyone that I know who listens to or reads books.

Some Great Stuff and Some Questionable Stuff

Lots of really intriguing and useful material, maybe 70%.
Some suggestions were so bizarre that completing the chapter proved a waste of time.
Also some practices and tactics seem approachable only if you’re a Silicon Valley CEO.

Most of the follow-up books I’ve read should be paperback addendums instead of fully published books, but NOT this one. DICHOTOMY is new, pertinent info from beginning to end. Must read for any leader or aspiring leader.

Maybe Buy the Book Instead

Whatever information or knowledge the book may contain is lost in the dripping sarcasm and apparent disdain for the listener that is narrated in by Dave Ramsey. I had to stop listening 30 minutes in. He's got good info, but his delivery is so hateful, I just couldn't take it. It would have been infinitely better if someone else had read this book - they might not have delivered the impatient snobbery that Dave seems incapable of withholding in his narration.

Great Addition to the First Book

I loved Rule #1, but as a beginner it took me a while to connect all the dots. Payback Time was the perfect follow-up to help me solidify the old concepts and add some new ones as well. PBT also translated a little better into audible format, I felt.
Both are MUST READS

A Must Read (Listen)

As someone who's constantly looking for a way to grow and often stymied by self inflicted obstacles, this was the perfect book. It was suggested to me by a mentor who doesn't suffer from my particular brand of limitations, but who enjoyed it for a completely different set of reasons.
I'm literally buying this book for people I know. I can't suggest it enough.
