Historia
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

Dirtier than I was expecting
Revisado: 12-11-24
Really good for how shockingly dirty it got:) great vocal performances. It was tastefully done on some triggering issues, reframed them beautifully. And the male lead was the exact right amount of damaged and and golden retriever

Historia
Stephanie Plum, Trenton’s hardest working, most underappreciated bounty hunter, is offered an assignment that seems simple enough. Local jeweler Martin Rabner wants her to locate his former security guard, Andy Manley (a.k.a. Nutsy), who he is convinced stole a fortune in diamonds from his safe. Stephanie is also looking for another troubled man, Duncan Dugan, a fugitive from justice arrested for robbing the same jewelry store on the same day.

Great book, terrible that audible charges a credit for it
Revisado: 06-02-23
The book is great but very short! No option to purchase rather than use my $15 credit. That’s part of the evil corporate strategy, they’ve done away with purchasing the books directly in audiobook and must buy the credits. Frustrating.
However, the book is entertaining as is the rest of the series. It’s very dated by 2023 standards….oh what a world to live in when $7 bought you a half a tank of gas…

Very young adult
Revisado: 05-04-23
If you’re into young adult romance and comedy this is probably going to be perfect for you. The narrator does a fantastic job and really kept me listening. The story line is sweet. However, from the intros claims of this being a book for those who think there was enough room for Jack and an insult to englands history- I was pretty disappointed. I think the writing is good, don’t get me wrong. It just was far to sweet for me. I mean, Gasp! they’re going to kiss with tongue?!? … a little cringe for me. The romance and jokes I think we’re very appropriate for a 9-14 year old but as an adult woman(who often really enjoys YA) it was just too much for me and I did a lot of eye rolling. However, I will check to see if the writer has done anything more for adults because I do think she’s a good writer. And I would absolutely recommend this to my 9 year old niece or anyone who is really enthusiastic about tween YA.

Unexpected and gripping
Revisado: 01-20-23
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the way it was told. I highly recommend. The story was engaging and never boring. The twist was unexpected. And, it was well performed. Very good.

Historia
Nine years ago, Vivienne Jones nursed her broken heart like any young witch would: vodka, weepy music, bubble baths…and a curse on the horrible boyfriend. Sure, Vivi knows she shouldn’t use her magic this way, but with only an “orchard hayride” scented candle on hand, she isn’t worried it will cause him anything more than a bad hair day or two.

Easy, fun book-ruined by audio
Revisado: 11-16-22
The story is fun and light hearted with just enough spice to make you blush. I really enjoyed the story. It wasn't heavy or too time consuming, a good palette cleanser. However, the audio performance did it's best to ruin the fun. it's a testament to the story that I was able to enjoy the book through the sound of a weirdly uptight robot trying to learn human emotion. The tone used for Gwyn was reasonable, so clearly the performer knows how to talk like a normal person. The problem is that the book is heavy on Vivi and the narrator- both for some reason were portrayed as if they had never heard a person speak before. I just don't understand. There were syllables added to words for no reason and inflection in all the wrong places, and a very aggressively uptight, detached, apathetic tone to the whole thing.

don't waste your money
Revisado: 12-18-21
First off, the narration sounds like a someone recorded a bunch of words individually and then just plugged them in. it was really distracting. Secondly, there's an entire chapter- the subject I most wanted to hear about, that was intentionally left out. The remainder of the book is filled with unhelpful fluff and 5% useful information that's super easy to find on Google. Save your money, use google or common sense.

I didn't know how much I needed this book
Revisado: 10-28-21
This book hurt in wounds I didn't know were still there, and healed with words I didn't know I needed. I love this book for all the tears it made me cry and all the laughs I couldn't hold in. I highly recommend this book for normal functional people, but even more so for broken, persevering people.
