Historia
For Rich Cohen and millions of other fans, the Chicago Cubs have always been more than a team: they've been the protagonists of a King Arthur epic, in search of the Holy Grail that is winning the World Series. A chronicle of the last few miraculous seasons as experienced through the prism of Cubs history, The Chicago Cubs tracks the famous curse, which was placed on the team in 1945 by the infamous owner of the Billy Goat Tavern, who was ejected from Wrigley Field when he tried to bring his goat into the grandstand for the fifth game of the World Series.

A half-fan tries to be relatable
Revisado: 07-11-19
i was hoping for a true Cub fan's experience witj the emotions of winning the 2016 World Series. Instead, i got a recountint of a half-hearted fan who turned his back when he couldn't take any more, then cane crawling back to the team when it was easy to root again. Good Cubs history, but the author's personal experience makes him seem like a privileged fairweather fan.

fascinating
Revisado: 08-06-18
On par with so many others that analyze what makes a show great. More than just behind the scenes stories, it is a deep dive into the rise and fall of the show.

Historia
Fuelled by methamphetamines and deviant motives, nothing was off limits for James Daveggio and Michelle Michaud. Not even their own children. Living out of a specially rigged minivan (a mobile torture chamber that included ropes, hooks, curling irons, duct tape, etc), this cold-blooded murdering duo kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed young girls from Reno, Nevada, to Sacramento, California.

Poorly written and narrated
Revisado: 10-26-17
The author leans heavily on hyperbole, is very repetitive and the writing is often unclear. The narrator is so dull it seems he is there to distract from the poor writing. I checked out halfway through.
