Historia
Space: It’s big. Like, really big. These are the misadventures of a group of misfits that accidentally found themselves on the wrong side of a wormhole, trying not to blow up the galaxy in their attempts to make the long journey home. Join us on a voyage to the stars with the wholly unqualified Captain Tucker Lentz (Colton Dunn), scatterbrained scientist Elsa Rankfort (Felicia Day), apathetic technician Stew Merkel (Steve Berg) and the misanthropic A.I. Sorry (Janet Varney). The universe will never be the same.

Worth the weeks' worth of listening.
Revisado: 04-21-22
This was a surprising find. I'm perusing all of Janet Varney's glamorous work on here. Thought I wouldn't like it, seeing how many episodes there are. The thing is, there's not much dead space. Even though it's improv, the story flows so well. Every episode is unique. The characters are likeable even though you hate that you like them (they're truly despicable when it comes to choosing whether to save life or commit planet genocide). Surprisingly, I've never encountered a story podcast like this before. Will see if others hold up in the future.
Go check it out while doing anything. It's lengthy & free!

Historia
In lieu of a perfect, hypothetical future husband, Mindy Kaling is thinking a lot about being single. Pros? She can marathon any Christine Baranski show she wants. Cons? Dealing with married couples and their condescension at cocktail parties. But until a gorgeous, morally flawless, preferably tall TV dad materializes in three dimensions, Mindy can cope with waiting it out (from the driver’s seat).

Historia
Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and no one knows this better than New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. Dead bodies are showing up in shallow graves on the empty construction lot of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds. No one is sure who the killer is, or why the victims have been offed, but what is clear is that Stephanie’s name is on the killer’s list.

The only audiobook I purchased after reading
Revisado: 11-20-16
"Ziggy squeaked, and went inert." Janet doesn't disappoint! Was such a fun read, so I bought the audio version. Unfortunately, library books have a due date, yet listening brings me back to the excitement. Reviews here vary, but I can tell you, if you appreciate Janet's humor, you'll enjoy this book. Different characters have distinguishable voices. Humans, flying horses and older vampires alike will gum this up!

Historia
Anna Kendrick's autobiographical collection of essays amusingly recounts memorable moments throughout her life, from her middle-class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies that have made her one of Hollywood's most popular actresses today. Expanding upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known, Anna Kendrick's essays offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture.

*posts to chest: Every part was my favorite!*

"Is my Wikipedia page gonna say author now? That's gonna make look like such a d--!" Diva she is not as she recounts hilarious personal stories that either make you laugh out loud or want to high five her intelligent sassiness. Anna brings such life to reading the writing about her own life.
Note: You so do not need to be a huge film buff to appreciate her stories growing up. Anyone can relate to not fitting in, fitting in but self-loathing for doing so, and trying to seek entitlement without hating the fitted dress-up. She even pokes fun at her own life by adding ten questions asking like why Anna did [this] and [is it because she] did it make her feel a certain emotional way? From Maine to L.A., Anna punches to your gut a saving grace.
