And then you find yourself asking if the goal is even worth the hassle. Maybe you're in a Dip: a temporary setback that you will overcome if you keep pushing. But maybe it's really a Cul-de-Sac, which will never get better, no matter how hard you try.

his main argument seems to be that if you can't handle "the stress of the moment" when it might pay off down the line, you're a loser. I handled so much "stress in the moment" that it cost me my mental and physical health and I'm struggling to make a comeback with the disabilities i developed... i'm relearning how to prioritize and here is the same ableist advice that made my conditions so much worse. this was deeply disappointing.
