Historia
Discrimination and Disparities challenges believers in such one-factor explanations of economic outcome differences as discrimination, exploitation, or genetics. It is listenable enough for people with no prior knowledge of economics. Yet the empirical evidence with which it backs up its analysis spans the globe and challenges beliefs across the ideological spectrum.

Straightforward logic, factual support
Revisado: 07-02-23
This was a great treatment of a crucial and complex problem. Dr. Sowell is so refreshing to read/listen to because he writes in everyday English and supports his views with ample facts and historical examples. I love how he shows that the discrimination and disparity problems we have here are and have been occurring in other countries. Sowell looks at the circumstances, policies and results at home and abroad to draw conclusions. The idea that discrimination occurs elsewhere seemed radical to me, at first, which speaks to how much the prevailing narrative influenced my thinking without realizing it.

Vivid and Entertaining
Revisado: 07-07-22
The story held my interest as much because of the character development as the plot. I continued to learn and grow more curious about each character as the story unfolded. I loved how I could not predict outcomes, or the manner in which they were accomplished.
Arte Johnson’s narration (indeed, dramatization) was excellent, making each character distinct and recognizable. Overall, a very nice experience accomplished in a single day.
