Book 2 wasn’t bad but o didn’t know if I was going to continue. The way this edition started made much more sense and kept the story to the interesting storyline.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Excellent twists and turns
Revisado: 10-12-23
If you weren’t engineer, or a scientist, I think you’ll really like the twist and turns in this book. Every time you think they’ve got it nailed, there’s some issue that you can directly relate to. It actually shows our own hubris and bias in thinking that we can’t just make any experiment go wrong or any device fail. The storyline and reading was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Historia
Van and his crew have killed an empire. The problem is the empire doesn’t know it’s dead. Moving among the stars, the Peacemakers are faced with their greatest challenge—removing an evil so vast, it has a presence in every known star system. To that end, they’ll need to move quickly. To do so, they must be mobile, and that means big changes in their tactics. . . and their crew. With the help of a shadowy figure known as the Body Thief, Van will continue his policy of justice and freedom for all citizens, even if they began life on a computer chip.

Awesome and sad.
Revisado: 10-07-23
Some of the things that I like about this series are that I can never quite tell exactly where it’s going. Sure in any story you can figure out what they’re gonna do next sometimes but the overall storyline with each book and what’s gonna happen to the characters nextI feel keeps me engaged. When I started this series, I didn’t expect to like it so much but now I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

Historia
The war should have been over. But it’s not for a group of nationalists grabbing for control. It’s been two weeks since a missile with a nuclear warhead tore through the planetary defenses in the most blistering large-scale attack ever committed in the history of the Gaia system. Commander Dunstan Park of the Rhodian navy has been handpicked to command an experimental cruiser that could dictate the course of the escalating conflict. All he has to do is keep the ship from falling into the wrong hands.

Getting there
Revisado: 08-13-23
It’s not a bad story line. It seems to take forever to get anywhere though. It could be due to the multiple storylines. Also sine the narrator changes each book it’s hard to keep the visual in your mind of who the characters are.
I did enjoy the boom and will listen to the next one, but I would want things to move along a bit more in the next book.

Good but doesn’t stand on its own.
Revisado: 08-05-23
Well written and Luke Daniels was great at always. This book felt more like it was setting up the next book more than standing on its own. More like a first intro episode. Other than that I am interested in the story and will move directly to book two.

When this series first started I didn’t think it would be as good as it has become. It’s great. The character development is spot on. The banter is more like real life than most series out there. It’s more like your on a journey with friends than listening to a story. Please keep the series going!

Historia
Centuries after a war with the Mutes, the first aliens to be encountered by humankind, a startling new discovery in the far reaches of the Orion Nebula appears. On a planet with conditions favorable to life, explorer vessel The Columbia comes across a small town seemingly inhabited by an intelligent species not yet discovered. But when a highly publicized follow-up mission is sent to make contact mere months later, the entire town has vanished, leaving no trace—or such is presumed to be the case until Alex Benedict and his archaeological crew show up to investigate.

Fleets and armies are launched in a desperate attempt to annihilate the Skaintz before they consume humanity. Find out what happens next in Androids and Aliens.

Getting there. Better than the first two
Revisado: 04-14-23
Better character development in this one and showing that the captain is changing. This book was more entertaining and getting closer to a space opera than the others. It’s not bad but it has some improvement needed before getting a 5 star.
I don’t think it is as bad as some of the other reviews say, I think the author is trying a new hero concept and you have to give them space to work it out. If you want the same military space hero as in all the other books you should just keep reading the same old series. This was nice to have a space story from a different perspective. Performance was great.

The colonies of the Faustian Chain have gone dark. No star freighters have come from the star cluster for many years. Captain Bill Gorman, a smuggler on the Fringe, is one of the few who know the truth. He’s personally battled the alien invaders who’ve overrun the human colonies of the Chain. He and his crew are faced with a choice: Will they fight the invaders, or will they run?

I think they can go someplace with it in the following books. But it needs work. It’s good enough to it for sure but it’s a little campy and stereotypical in places.
