Historia
The apocalypse will be televised! You know what’s worse than breaking up with your girlfriend? Being stuck with her prize-winning show cat. And you know what’s worse than that? An alien invasion, the destruction of all man-made structures on Earth, and the systematic exploitation of all the survivors for a sadistic intergalactic game show. That’s what. Join Coast Guard vet Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s cat, Princess Donut, as they try to survive the end of the world—or just get to the next level—in a video game–like, trap-filled fantasy dungeon.

This book and others like it sounded really stupid to me. I'm not a fan at all of dungeons and dragon type of stuff but this book was definitely entertaining and I will be getting the next one in the series.

Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

One of these writers is garbage.
Revisado: 08-06-22
Idk which one it is but you can tell the difference between the writers. The guy who spends 10 chapters describing a cheeseburger in Galaxy Edge does pretty much the exact same thing in this book. These guys seem pretty popular so I guess other people like it but for me they should just let the good author write and the other guy can get him some coffee or something.

Not the best Zombie book.
Revisado: 01-30-22
It is your typical zombie book and nothing really special. None of the characters are cool and you wouldn't care if any of them died. Every action scene is the same. Shoot a lot of zombies, zombies about to overrun, something happens to save them. I listen to a lot of books so I'll probably finish the series anyway but this is definitely class B zombie material.

Awesome book!
Revisado: 09-19-21
It's a great book and I wish there were 20 of them in the series. One thing though about 8 years ago there was a thread on Reddit where someone made up a story of what would happen if a company of Marines or Rangers or something went back in time and fought Roman soldiers. The story was a great success so much so that Hollywood bought the rights of the story to turn into a movie. Nothing ever came of it so the full book was never written and movie never made. I would be very surprised if this author didn't take that premise and write this book. Not saying it's bad I'm just saying. Check out Rome Sweet Rome for that original story and see how similar they are.

Historia
The year is 2026. The US military has a new weapon in its arsenal: an intelligent life-form so versatile that it can not only create a new generation of weapons but can become a weapon itself - entering a host’s body to manipulate (or kill) them. Admiral James Curtiss is tasked with deploying the new weapons, first in Cuba, then Venezuela, then China. But the news of the military’s breakthrough has gotten out and there are menacing forces trying to steal it. What’s more, a single man has somehow harnessed the new power and has become something more than human - godlike.

Not as good as the first book
Revisado: 06-27-21
I really liked the first book and was hoping it would keep going. Nothing really happened in this book. You could take the main character out if the book and absolutely nothing would change. I like the story and hopefully the next book picks things back up.

Definitely meant for YA
Revisado: 06-17-21
The book had a good premise and maybe it even is good I just thought it was way to childish. A 13 year old kid gets turned into some god like killer dude only to turn back into himself and promise to never kill another person again. He spend the rest of his time not remembering how powerful he is and trying to Trump bad guys good instead of just killing them. He is also the classic really smart kid with no friends and afraid to talk to girls but it turns out he is actually a really tough bad ass and all the girls like him. I listed to a little over half of it hoping it would finally turn good but it just never did.
If you don't like wimpy kids who are unsure of themselves turning into total bad asses and girls now like them then don't get this book.

Whether it’s on a core world snatching a delusional genius who knows too much or on the edge forging allies among a complex alien culture, Dark Ops are the foot soldiers of the House of Reason’s galactic game for dominance.

There is no way anyone actually gives this 5 stars
Revisado: 06-04-21
This thing is horrible. I've listened to all of the Galaxies Edge series books 3 times now and think they are the best. I tried this series once before and only made it through the first book and wasn't impressed. I decided to give it another shot and got this book and it is horrible. It is 100% just a money grab. It's from an author who was hoping to ride the GE name and it's really unfortunate. This book has nothing to do with GE at all and the people in this book are not like any of the type of people we would expect. All this book is is a military book with some GE tech in it. It just sucks. it sucks really really bad and I will be returning it. I even tried listening at 1.75 speed but that didn't help. Nothing happens in this book and it just sucks.

Legion Dark Ops has always been a unit shrouded in secrecy. Tasked with performing covert missions, its kill teams are filled with the best warriors from within the ranks of the Legion. Kel Turner is one of the youngest legionnaires ever to be selected to its ranks. After many battles and trials, he is faced with the greatest challenge of his life - operating by himself on a remote planet at the galaxy's edge, a foot soldier for the policies of the duplicitous House of Reason, tasked with solving a crisis that would take ten kill teams to resolve.

Revisado: 06-02-21
This is my 2nd time listening to this book. First time through I gave it 2 star all around and this time 3. The main books are all 5 star and idk what it is about these side books but they just lack something. It might just be the narrator or maybe it's something more. Anyway I'll probably listen to all of them anyway but they definitely aren't as good as the main books.

R.C is a game changer. He is probably 70% responsible for why these books are amazing. You can tell because the 20 other books in this series that don't have him in them range from god awful to just ok.
