I think it was more the accent they used on the women, specially Be... I soooooo wanted to relate to her but the voice and accent sounded like "shallow"

I am mexican and live here in my country and I am sorry but a lot of things could be kinda accurate but others OMG no!
I had a grandmother with kind of the same background and time as these girls and so, for starters we would never speak in english among ourselfs (I don't think anyone would if they are with family and speaking within each other we all use our native language or what we use at home)
And in the Story itself, it was going rather well until we got to the last 1/4 of the book and the story just went nonsensical ... sorry... really wanted to support this book but I can't
And I thought the performance was kind of "robotic"
