Entire book is a sales pitch on buying book
Revisado: 02-13-23
The actual ‘steps’ to the miracle morning and helping wake up earlier are about 30 minutes, or just google it. The thing is, I’m excited about the concept and believe it helps, but the book is entirely a sales pitch. I already bought the book, you don’t need to sell it to me. I wish I would have just spent the money on his iphone app membership. I’m so jaded from the book, I need some time before I support him financially anymore. I listened on 2x speed and jumped forward the whole book. If this is your first self help book, the personal stories (about how hard it was for someone living an upperclass pre multi millionaire life style to struggle) and all the other book quotes may motivate you? But if you’ve read these type books before, skip the book and google top 20 motivation quotes, download the 5 steps to getting up early, 6 steps to the miracle morning, and spend the $9 on the first 3 months of his app to get his materials in practice. Honestly the 3 minute app intro was the book summary. Great concept, can’t wait to practice it, waste of a book.

Historia
Rowley Knight, Duke of Knighton, is too busy being a duke to bother with such nonsense as love. With three heirs, he is in no hurry whatsoever to succumb to the lures of the leg-shackles. He is content managing his siblings and estates, and avoiding society whenever possible. If he can only find someone to manage his young sister, life can go back to its proper order.

Good series, Reader improves
Revisado: 01-04-22
I almost returned this, but glad I stuck with it. The series is good, book 2 had me laughing a lot. The reader initially made me fell anxious with his tone and pattern and I couldn’t get his pace. I slowed (never changed speed before) to .8x or .9x and finally settled on .9x speed and it was perfect. Once I settled in, I was glad as he’s a good reader with different character sounds and has a lot of emotion in his voice. I’m 2 books in at .9x speed and loving the series. I listen to a lot of historical romance and I really appreciate the way the author can build story, character, and tension without graphic scenes, I was able to listen to this one without having my pause button at hand around people lol. It was a nice change of pace. Looking forward to other books from this author and will definitely listen to this reader again. The Duke did start of haughty enough to deserve that voice lol. I really appreciate still hearing about the other characters in the following books, it was separate enough to be individual stories, but all together an extended family series.

Historia
In the time since she was abducted from her world by a cruel, tyrannical general, 18-year-old Jalinda has been given little reason to trust any man, let alone three barbarian brothers who take it upon themselves to rescue her. But the rough, handsome warriors intend to share a wife, and they mean for that wife to be Jalinda. Shocked by the thought of belonging to three men, she refuses to go along with their plan, but her lack of cooperation is quickly overcome by way of a switch applied to her bare bottom.

I try to look for the good, but I can only describe the narration as this: if my computer animated reading software was running low on batteries after running an extreme endurance race and was bored. Sorry not sorry

Historia
The cold, precise Duke of Montford demands things his way: neatly ordered, in place, and adhering closely to the rules. So he is furious when he learns that the tenant of his ducal estate has been dead for a year, and a stranger has been running the Honeywell business - which, by contract, is now Montford's. When he arrives in Yorkshire to investigate, he discovers that the estate is being run by an unruly, tomboyish woman - and a bluestocking at that!

Would be my favorite movie!
Revisado: 06-12-16
Loved the characters, play between, story line, snarky wit, respect, teasing, and pig. This may be the first HR book I've ever wished to me made into a movie. Each one of the characters was so strong in their own right they made a fantastic cast. In addition to finding a new great story, I found a new favorite author! Can't wait to read/listen more by her.

This version of the Bennet family - and Mr. Darcy - is one that you have and haven't met before: Liz is a magazine writer in her late 30s who, like her yoga instructor older sister, Jane, lives in New York City. When their father has a health scare, they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help - and discover that the sprawling Tudor they grew up in is crumbling, and the family is in disarray.

Standalone or P&P rewrite, I'm listening
Revisado: 05-30-16
Any additional comments?
I am a huge P&P fan and love rewrites or variations but mainly to see what happens to the characters or compare the stories. This book was a good book regardless of the P&P heritage. The characters were entertaining and I found myself wanting to google map where they were to see the houses. Definate P&P story, characters all there, but modern and different enough I just wanted to experince this book.

Could have easily been longer
Revisado: 05-30-16
Many shorter stories have either bad writing or bad narration, but this had neither. I would have loved for this to be a little longer and the story flowed so easily and had multiple characters it could have continued. Fun listen either way.

Great characters
Revisado: 05-30-16
There is a lot of character building in the first 3/4 then the end comes quick. I wish the last quarter of the story would have been wrote out a little further. The characters were fun and endearing. There is a lot Highland Clan discord so it felt more truthful than the typical Scottish romance novel. Worth the purchase.

Like listening to a narrated movie!
Revisado: 05-30-16
Was looking for something a little different from the typical romance story and this was perfect. Good story with hints of romance but more for story purpose. This is told from each sisters point of view at varying times and the narrator did an excellent job. The first few minutes I wasn't sure if I would like it, then I realized I had already progressed to hooked. I felt like I had a visual movie playing out in my head the whole time.
