The Narrator Was Great
Revisado: 02-09-25
I enjoyed the first 6 and thought the 3 book box set would be awesome. The narrator rescued the books. Disappointed.

We Solve Murders
Revisado: 11-15-24
I started this book because I enjoyed the Thursday Murder Club. This has the same humor and excellent mystery combination and is well written. Best of all, suicide is not part of this book's plot. The narration is superb. Highly recommended.

Historia
Twenty-six-year-old Maggie Barnes is someone you would never look at twice. Living alone in a month-to-month sublet in the huge city of London, with no family but an estranged sister, no boyfriend or partner, and not much in the way of friends, Maggie is just the kind of person who could vanish from the face of the earth without anyone taking notice. Or just the kind of person MI5 needs to infiltrate the establishment and thwart an international plot that puts all of Britain at risk. Now one young woman has the chance to be a hero - if she can think quickly enough to stay alive.

I had a difficult time getting into this story. Three stars only because the narrator
made the story interesting. Glad it was free.

The books keep getting better
Revisado: 10-06-24
I started this series because the first book was free. I loved the narrator and the storyline and the characters were likeable. This carried through to all of the books I have read/listened to. Best of all, the "who done it" mysteries were interesting and kept my attention. I look forward to reading more books by this talented author.

In an all-new novella in E.J. Copperman’s “funny, charming, and thoroughly enjoyable” ( Spinetingler Magazine) series, the storm of the century bears down on the haunted guesthouse, and stirs up a gale of memories for a troubled ghost. Haunted guesthouse owner Alison Kerby may have only recently discovered her ability to communicate with ghosts, but for her mother Loretta, it’s been a lifelong gift.

Historia
It’s the night shift worker who finds them. Huddled in a hospital store cupboard is elderly Edith Higgins. Knifed to death. Sitting behind her is Staff Nurse Lily Frampton, a scalpel clasped in her blood-soaked hand. No one can understand why this kind-hearted, dedicated nurse would brutally murder a frail patient she’s spent months caring for. That same day, mild-mannered schoolteacher Rod Black is found surrounded by the battered bodies of his pupils. Why would a well-respected teacher beat five schoolboys to death?

Historia
Thirty-one years ago in Anchorage, Alaska, Victoria Pilz Bannister Muravieff was convicted of murdering her seventeen-year-old son William. The jury returned a quick verdict of guilty, believing the prosecutor's claims that she had set fire to her own home with both her sons inside; William died and the other, Oliver, narrowly escaped. Victoria was sentenced to life in prison without parole, and though she pled not guilty at the trial, she never again denied her guilt.

The story line is good, but there was something missing and unnecessary somethings added. Thie missing and additional somethings were disappointing. Good story, though.
