*CONTAINS SPOILERS!* A major flaw in the storyline

I cannot write this review without giving away a major spoilers and for that I am sorry.

My biggest problem with this story is the rape scene. Sadie was raped and instead of going to see a counselor about it she does not. My second major problem is how Hector only gives her a month to come to terms with her attack before going after her. I get that this is a story but, I feel like it should have some basis in reality if Kristen Ashley was going to put a scene like that in the book.

A month does not make what happen to Sadie go away and make everything better and back to normal. Because of that I just could not get into the story like I did with the other books. If there had been more time for Sadie to adjust to what she had been through it would have been far more of an enjoyable read.

If you are looking for the same amount of crazy girl antics then this story has it in spades. But, do not judge the entire book based on the unrealistic time frame that Hector gives Sadie and, how Sadie deals with her attack. I really do enjoy reading/listening to the Rock Chick series and hope that Ally's story has less flaws than Sadie's does. Again sorry for the spoiler.

Stubborn women

I am all for strong women and for a women to know what she wants and is willing to get it. but in this story Sydney is probably the most stubborn female lead character I have ever read/listened to. Instead of accepting that she is human and that is is no match for the supernaturals she insists that she be kept in the know with the investigation. And when hard evidence of just how fragile she is, is thrown in her face she refuses to acknowledge that she may be out of her element.

Apart from a female lead who makes me want to shoot her, the story was mediocre at best. At times I could not tell if it was the story that was just bad or the narrator. It is a tough and dragging read/listen. It is a good story if you have nothing better to do and are willing to stop and restart when you have the time but, not for one that you listen to in one straight shot.

I want a Viking!

This was so amazing to listen to! I keep on re-listening to it, that is how good it was! I don't even know what to say other than this is one book worth the credit or the money! You will fall in lobe with Vig and want a viking of your own! This book had it all romance, action, drama, and humor.

This book is one of the good ones and you won't regret getting it.

What a delight!

This was an amazing read! I really like this book. The whole series was fun to read and it takes on a new and different version of shape shifters, vampires, and seers. This is the best book of the series!

I really hope that Meg and Simon find their happy ending with each other. I can't wait to see what is next for them and the rest of those living in Lake side

Beyond confused!

While I was listening to this book more times then I cold count asked myself "What is going on?" It was so confusing that i had to restart the book twice. And I still didn't get it. After a while I decided to just listen to it and go with the flow.

Apart from the confusion of the story line I went with it and really enjoyed the book. I'm not sure if I will read the remaining books in the series especially if they are as confusing as this one is.

I wold say that if you have the patient to sit through a read/listen thatis mostly confusing and had many facets to the plot of the story line then this is the book for you. After a while it really gets god. My only problem with it was the switching of the characters point of view every chapter. But other than that it was a really good listen. I really loved the narrator as well.

I'm in love with the HOT BUNCH!!

This was such a fun boo to listen to! I have all but devoured this entire series. As I was listening to this story i was captivated by how the hot bunch did not give up on the women they considered to be theirs.

Of course if I was one of those women I don't think that i would be as understanding and let them get away with bossing me around as much as the Rock Chicks do. And Mace is no different. He even (spoiler) had Stella handcuffed! But I still love him and the hot bunch!!!

The only downside was the epilogue.If you have read the premise for Ally's story then you know that she has to choose between Darius and Ren. In the epilogue of Rock Chick Reckoning you will find out which one she chooses, so if you want to be surprised then don't listen to the end of the book.

I would 100% recommend this series to anyone of my friend who are into women with attitude, hot men, steamy sex scenes, and some good old fashion butt kicking! this book as well as this series gets a 5 out of 5 across the boards!!!

Love, Love, LOVE!!!

This was such a fun book to listen to. I really go into the story line. As with all of Kristin Ashley books she knows how to make a story come alive. Even if it seems to be way too crazy and unbelievable. this book was nothing to sniff your nose at, and had me wanting more.

There was romance, action, and cat fights. I could really relate to what Jet was going though in some situations. Although I don't think I would allow a macho man to take over my ife and begin to make decisions for me. It somehow worked out for her.

The only downside to this book was the ending. It was a little to "fairly tale" with everyone living happly ever after and all that jazz. Even though Jet went through some serious crazy stuff it still seemed like there could have been a more dramatic ending. Like with Indie's ending it felt like an ending to a story and it being a good ending.

It makes little difference to me this was an amazing book and i can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Not the brother I would have picked

This is the last book in the Kathleen Turner series. It is full of the same action that the other books had. Kathleen is in trouble and Blaine and Kade are willing to do whatever it takes to help her.

The one good thing is that you find out what brother she chooses. And you find out fairly quickly which one that is. It is not the one I would have chosen but, it is all good in the end mostly.

I am really surprised that Kathleen hasn't had any lasting injuries from all the times that she has been hit in the head. You would think that either Blaine or Kade would have taught her some self-defense or something. But she manages to get out of most of the problems she finds herself.

This was a good ending to the series and almost all of the loose ends are tied up nicely. I would like to know what happens to the brother that Kathleen doesn't choose and how he fairs but, that is for another series? This is a fun and exciting series that will have you laughing and crying and wishing that you were Kathleen all at the same time. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a series like this one.

What an amazing story

This was a thrill to listen to it really was. The only down side to the book was the narrator. She made the male voices sound creepy and pretty much all the same. I know that when narrators have to read a character that isn't their own gender they do a pretty good job of it but Ms Skyye made the male characters sound unappealing and unattractive.

The author did a beautiful job of writing the story and it was a true joy to listen to. I could hardly stop. I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series. I can't wait to see what new characters and plot twist Jessica Lane will throw our way. I will hope that Ms. Skyye will not be reading the remaining books after book 2.

A disappointing ending

This was a fun and quirky book when I first started. As the story went on however I found it to be a bit dragging. I loved the narrator she did an amazing job. This is a book you can enjoy on an afternoon of cleaning. I'm not sure how the rest of the series is going to be, but this first book was for me lacking.

The biggest problem I have with this book is the lack of substance. Everything in the story line is one dimensional and flat. The worst of it was the ending. The author built up to a dramatic and really a pretty epic ending and it just is like the author didn't know how to finish the book. I know that this is a series and the ending should be a cliffhanger, but this wasn't a cliffhanger it was a plunge off a shier rock face. The author missed the mark completely in my opinion.
