Historia
Kat Grant and Alice Campbell have a friendship forged in shared confidences and long lunches lubricated by expensive wine. Though they're very different women - the artsy socialite and the struggling suburbanite - they're each other's rocks. But even rocks crumble under pressure. Like when Kat's financier husband, Howard, plunges to his death from the second-floor balcony of their South Florida mansion. Howard was a jerk, a drunk, a bully, and, police say, a murder victim. The questions begin piling up.

Historia
For 170 years, Edward Fairfax Rochester has stood as one of literature's most complex and captivating romantic heroes. Sometimes cruel, sometimes tender, Jane Eyre's mercurial master at Thornfield Hall has mesmerized, beguiled, and, yes, baffled fans of Charlotte Brontë's masterpiece for generations. But his own story has never been told.

I loved it. Such a beautiful insight into Mr Rochester's mind and a good tribute to Bertha Mason as well, who was wronged in some ways.

I have no words...
Revisado: 06-17-20
By far one of the best dramatizations, well when you have actors like Michael Sheen and Judy Dench, what can you expect?Oscar Wilde's works are timeless,at times unnerving with its accurate sense of practicality but at the same time they have the beauty and dreaminess of a poem.
I can't begin to describe Oscar Wilde's works-it's not in my power.
But the exquisite and inexpressible feelings I get-the thoughts-his thoughts which I know in my heart are true -though the power, the intuition to decide that are encouraged by his works-at this point I don't even know what I am saying.
And,finally the last piece when the lady asks us that wasn't it a triumph-that struck hard!!!
I am overwhelmed and thankyou Audible and BBC for such a beautiful dramatization with such beautiful soundtracks.
Looking forward to listening more of these!

Ok I was hooked at first but then....
Revisado: 05-28-20
There were some plotholes in the story which really made it weak at the end.Don't get me wrong-it started out well,I was invested in the middle but the end was too convenient.I am not mad at the reveal but it could have been done without a big plothole(I am not giving spoilers!).But I think it had a great potential and as always the narrator did an excellent job.

Amazed by the voice acting!
Revisado: 05-27-20
I think it goes beyond doubt that when you take two of the most talented onscreen actors to perform a narration, their skills are reflected in their voice acting.
I liked the narration of the first story but the second story is the one that moved me.The way it progresses is absolutely unique and makes you question about the two sides of the same coin-life and death.I highly recommend it because these stories are not plot-driven but emotion driven that move you to the core and make you realize that what you have now is truly precious.

Enchanting!
Revisado: 05-26-20
Cute story, magical soundtrack and voices to fall in love with-what can a listener want more? Peter Pan in the guise of children's fiction raises the question that whether we want to escape and live in the past or face the world and grow along with it without fearing the emotional damage it might do to us on the way.
J.M. Barrie very cleverly tries to aware the children of the changes they'll have to face and it would be their choice whether to face them or hide in their little cocoon fearing change and the dread that comes along with it.

A vivid eye opener!
Revisado: 05-26-20
I was shocked from the very first few lines of the book.I didn't expect it to be so dark. But then these things raise the empathy in humans and thus become very important to be talked and discussed about.
I liked the narrator's journey, her observations about life and death and her search for God.
All in all it's a sort of a coming of age fiction of a 'poor black woman' and the people around her who grow, learn and become maturer and recognize their power and find their place in the world.

Overall it achieved its goal in mesmerizing, investing and frightening its listeners. Will recommend if you are a fan of classics and enjoyed books like Interview with the Vampire and Frankenstein.
