Historia
Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train. But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents.

Lovable, fun characters and full of mystery
Revisado: 10-07-24
I enjoyed the story and mystery, but what kept me going was getting to know each of the characters. It is much deeper than your typical "murder mystery" series. Just loved it.

Historia
By the time playwright and actor Shawn Frost had won two Tony Awards by his late 20s, he was seen as a theater prodigy—a meteoric rise that the performing arts community had not witnessed in almost a hundred years. His work? Shakespearean in scope, character, and popularity—boundless and beautiful. His own character? Flawed. And in a place like New York City, where failings get magnified, Shawn Frost finds that, even from the heights of artistic sublimity, no one is insulated from the demons that have caused the best of entertainers to fall from grace.

Like the mystery, but love the characters too. Jake's family is lots of fun and there are plenty of protagonists as well. I hope Bethany gets what is coming to her next book!

The author's personifications and opinions are smug and often inaccurate. If he wants to make political statements, write a nonfiction. This book is ridiculous.

Historia
In the quiet, sunrise-side town of Hampstead, Michigan, Rachel Roberts descends the stairs in her beach house, ready to sit on the back deck, have a glass of wine, and feel the Huron breezes come in from the water as the stars start to glow in the night sky above. But everything changes when she sees headlights coming down her driveway. As the vehicle approaches, she becomes both excited and puzzled. Excited, because the vehicle belongs to her friend, retired Hampstead P.I. Obadiah Ben-David. Puzzled, because she has no idea why he is paying her an evening visit.

Lots of twists
Revisado: 03-06-23
His books are full of twists and keep you interested to the end but Pavone can be overly descriptive…you feel like the editor asked him to add 200 words or something. Also, the author seems to have a truly pessimistic opinion of the human race (most characters are superficial, amoral cheaters and liars) and it leaves you with a sick feeling by the end.
