Narration issues for me

This is the second book I have read by the same author with the same narrator. I really enjoy her stories and find myself laughing out loud and occasionally shedding a few tears, but… The narrator leaves a bit to be desired. There are issues when switching characters and when the tone needs to be changed. Liane may want to consider adding narrators or finding a new one. Sorry Caroline!

I have been studying and researching NDE’s for the past few years and Debra Diamond did an excellent job combining in-depth research with intriguing and interesting experiences. I am so impressed with this book, I can’t wait to see what else she has written! I will definitely relisten to this as well as purchase a hard copy to use for reference.

I would recommend to women and men who live a religious conservative lifestyle. If it’s your thought that women belong home taking care of family and that men are strong intelligent Breadwinners and leaders then this is the book for you!

Too Short!

I know that she wanted to get this out right away but it is too short! Lol I hope she makes the choice to write more on this topic and finish the story!

Interesting

It moved me at times bc I love stories based on historical facts. I cried, got excited, and angry. But… idk, it lacked in areas. Was it Bennys character in contrast with Hanni? Perhaps. I can’t quite put my finger on it, so it’s a four star story that even frustrated me the last few minutes when historical situation was brought up that had not been mentioned at all throughout the story.

Very Good!

4 stars is still a very good rating. It’s difficult to pin point exactly why I’m not giving a 5.
I went into the book thinking it was about Molly and realized about half way through that it is about Vivian. I think that’s why I give it a 4, it threw me off.
I kept wondering about the character development of the protagonist and then I realized that Molly’s not the protagonist!

The narration was good but there were times when I had to turn down the volume bc it bothered my ears; and at times I felt the tone didn’t quite match the nature of the character Molly during her anger or rebellion.
But it must be good if I feel disloyal by giving it anything less than five stars. Lol!

I didn’t know it was fact based until the end. The story took me away… I laughed out loud and shed a few tears.
And narration was excellent! Thank you!

I can’t wait to read it again! I laughed, I cried. I carried my speaker around and listened as much as possible.
Though fiction I was able to learn about that time in history. It placed me there.

I definitely appreciated the narration with male and female voicing each of their chapters. The story was creative with depth, it took me away. Thank you!

Nice light story
