Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Performance was Amazing!
Revisado: 03-05-21
The reading is great! Excellent character voices that dont sound too corny but still give them character.

Not As Good As I Expected
Revisado: 07-14-20
I thought the concept was really interesting and exciting and had heard in several business/leadership conferences about establishing a “no Asshole” rule. I wish this book spent more time going over how to actually make that a reality in your workplace instead of spending the book talking about what an asshole is and why this rule is a good idea. I felt like that could have really been condensed.

Historia
In this eloquent and persuasive book, Neil Postman examines the deep and broad effects of television culture on the manner in which we conduct our public affairs, and how "entertainment values" have corrupted the very way we think. As politics, news, religion, education, and commerce are given less and less expression in the form of the printed word, they are rapidly being reshaped to suit the requirements of television.

Still Incredibly Relevant
Revisado: 02-17-20
A bit dry to listen to, but that seems to be the point of the book. An interesting take, hoping to make readers aware of the changing modes of communication around us. Still relevant today as it was in '85

Theres a reason its a classic!
Revisado: 09-03-18
The performance was well done with good attention to detail to include backgroun sound effects. Its a little hard in the begining to figure out who is talking and who is present though.
