Good series

This was a great series. Almost skipped it because, being a grandmother, "college-age" romances don't generally interest me. It was very interesting and some of the sex scenes were educational ;) I fast forwarded through a lot of them, but there was still enough plot to be entertaining. Now though, we have to wait forever for the 4th book. The ending of this one about broke my heart.

I really enjoyed this book until the end. Four main male characters and they were all a disappointment. I much prefer mysteries or books with a plot such as this one, but a little happily ever after would have been nice. Very dark view of men.

Confusing

This book would have been good, but the author made it much too convoluted. I still don't know who was who at the end. Just too bizarre for me to follow.

Big problem with female narrator.

This book was not bad, although the language was a bit much. Believe me, I am no prude and could make a sailor blush, but this was too much with the four letter words and slang genitalia words. I really am getting tired of the graphic description of the "love making." Big turn off. The worse part though was the female narrator. She spoke like she was whispering and whining when doing dialogue. If she had just used her normal voice for the female voices, it would have been fine. I am not sure what that voice is that she used, but it was irritating. She also spoke so softly at times it was hard to hear and then she got really loud. It was just a disappointing listen. I don't think I will listen to the rest of the series, as it appears that the same female narrates all of them. The male narrator was good.

Surprise

I wasn't sure about this book at first, but I ended up loving it. Kept me guessing most of the way through it.

Too much dirty talk

I am so disappointed in this series. I listened to the first 3 to find out what is going on, but I am midway through the 4th book and I just can't take the sex in every single chapter. Mainly the dirty talk gets to me. I am by no means a prude, loved 50 Shades and the Cross books, but enough is enough. I was just hoping for an interesting story without the over indulgence. Some words are just a real turnoff to me.

I just couldn't listen to this book for long. The daydreaming over the crush got old fast. Rather immature behavior for a woman of 30.

I can't believe I actually paid money for this.

I saw all the rave reviews and decided to buy this book. What a waste of money. Now I am a great fan of 50 Shades, Crossfire, etc., but this book was pure rubbish. I only listened to about 2 hours. It was the same thing over and over. Not much of a story so far and the girl is whiny and the guy is just a bore. So sorry I spent the money.

Something off about this book

I do not know what it was about this book, but it did not seem up to par with Christina Dodd's other books. I absolutely fell in love with her books with the first Virtue Falls book and have listened to them all, but this book just seemed off. I kept thinking I missed parts (explanations or parts of story lines seemed missing). Some of the dialect was very stilted also. It may have been somewhat due to the narrator, but not all. The little "mental summary" that the main character kept on other characters was a turn off also. So sad, but will probably have to get the next one just to get the answers to the questions this one left me with.

Would you try another book from Donna Kauffman and/or Chloe Lynn?

I will take the other reviews into more consideration in the future. Many people seemed to think this book was too long and I definitely agree.

Any additional comments?

I am wondering if this book is ever going to get over. I just want answers to questions, not all this talk and talk and talk....... Good gravy. It is a great story, but I kind of feeling like I am being lectured. I got through the first book without too much problem, but this one is just dragging. I think I will skip the last one, so I hope most of my questions are answered by the end of this one.
