Historia
Beginning with the witch hunts of the early 15th century, Professor Jennifer McNabb takes you on an eye-opening exploration of witchcraft and superstition in Witchcraft in the Western Tradition. In these 10 lectures, you will better understand where many of our most indelible images of witchcraft come from and how the religious pursuit of witches across Europe and into the Americas in the early modern period spread fear and violence like a contagion, for generations.

Informative about past and modern times

Was interesting to learn about how women of lower social and economic status were often the victims of witchcraft accusations.

Historia
It goes without saying that even today, it's not easy to be gay in America. While young gay men often come out more readily, even those from the most progressive of backgrounds still struggle with the legacy of early-life stigma and a deficit of self-acceptance, which can fuel doubt, regret, and, at worst, self-loathing. Through moving stories - of friends and patients, and his own - Odets considers how experiences early in life launch men on trajectories aimed at futures that are not authentically theirs.

Inspiring, Moving, and Enlightening
Revisado: 08-31-24
This book brought me an immense amount of peace as I listened to it. There were times when I felt like I was in a dreamlike state as I listened to the narrator read; other times I couldn't put into words the way this book made me feel. The lessons here are essential and completely necessary for all gay men. We must collectively learn how to liberate ourselves from the traumatizing pains of our childhoods, and create our own lives—for ourselves. This book has guided me towards mental clarity, understanding, and true love.

Historia
Corporal Alex Indigo, USMC, is a gung ho, professional infantry marine. In the era of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell", he still needs to keep hidden the fact that he is gay if he wants to continue to serve. Trying to keep his private life private, he doesn’t date fellow marines. Combat-deployed to Falluja, Iraq, however, he doesn’t have much outlet for his natural wants and desires. When he meets Taylor, a fellow corporal, he feels a strong attraction to the handsome, quiet marine. It is hard to hide anything in a combat zone, much less a romantic relationship.

Authentic

This book was very obviously written by someone who had actually been a Marine. The military aspect was authentic and important.
