FINALLY! A book that puts the thought to the test, and the funniest of outcomes!

The mishaps that follow each attempt will have you laughing out loud. A totally enjoyable read and highly recommended! I can't wait for the next book!

This set of stories offered life lessons through the eyes of a Hospice Nurse.

After losing my father, my mother, and just recently, my brother, I have felt unsettled in what death and hospice was all about. My father passed away in the hospital, and that was where I started questioning my faith. Years later, my mom passed away after being placed in hospice. I spoke with a counselor and started to understand the premise of the program. I experienced both a good day and a bad day with my mom. I saw what the surge was about with my own eyes, and heard my mom talk anmbout her conversation with her sister that passed away years prior. When my brother passed away this year, I didn't get to see him. He was placed in hospice care in the hospital. He passed away very quickly and I was concerned that he was all alone in his final moments. This set of stories has offered me some comfort that my brother was not alone at the end... that our parents were there for him until the end and beyond. While I still have a healthy fear of dying, I can only hope for the peace that follows and to see my loved ones again.

A well researched book

An insightful look into the current monarchy and the drama it holds. A time-line of Meghan Markle's climb of the social ladder to become the Duchess of Sussex. Definitely well researched and insightful into the behaviors of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the Monarchy.

Love conquers all

Edie and Tristan's story is one to definitely enjoy in the Shadows Landing series. The overcoming of grief from loss is a hard thing, but the progression of healing of Edie"s heart is perfect. The desire to go forward, the asking for signs, the ability to love again is really touching in this story. A bit of a tear=jerker, but well written nonetheless.

Tristan couldn't be a better match for Edie. Honest, respectful, strong, and romantic. Totally swoon worthy. I can only gather it would be hard to create a character like this one. Really, an assassin with a heart... genius!

While this book can be read as a standalone, it does flow better if read in succession because the once small and once quirky town of Shadows Landing is growing and merging with another small town.... Keeneston, KY from another series by the same author... the Bluegrass Brothers and Forever Bluegrass series. let's just say that every book from Ms. Brooks will habe you laughing, crying, cheering and swooning... you will always be in for a great escape through reading her books. Solid 5 stars!!

Forever Lies

Loved this installment of the Forever Bluegrass series. The narrator, Eric G. Dove, brings the story to life, and the author, Kathleen Brooks, is a creator of a cast of characters the you really wished existed in a place you would want to visit.

Please understand that while this book can be seen as a standalone book, the enjoyment level rises if you take the time to enjoy all of Ms. Brooks other books. The best place to start is with her first book titled, "Bluegrass State of Mind". Then you will see the growth of community and characters from there. Just so you know, she has other books that happen to crossover and some characters become connected to this series and those series are her Women of Power, Web of Lies and Shadows Landing. Sure, this might sound a little overwhelming, but as with this author and her talent to tell a tale, you will not feel overwhelmed at all. In fact, you will look forward to more and more. You see, these books will take you on a trip to a place you with existed, with characters you would want as real friends, and a happily ever after with such swoon worthy heroes.

Not to offer spoilers, but it takes some real talent to make a previously cold and unlikable character like Sebastian and change your feelings about him. You will shed a tear, you will laugh out loud, and you will be cheering for the story of Sebastian and Greer.

Definitely a 5 star rating.... if I could give more... I would. It is that good!

huge fan of Kathleen Brooks and this new series is a great addition to her Bluegrass series. she can make such wonderful characters and places you can only wish they existed. looking forward to seeing more from this author and this series (of course, her Bluegrass series too)😉
