Historia
Are you ready for self-transformation? Many spiritual teachers promise transformation, but Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff delivers. Gurdjieff (1872-1949) was born in Alexandropol on the border of Russia and Turkey. Gurdjieff's teachings contain many concepts that, taken together, are referred to as the Work. The idea behind the Work is that our first birth is our physical body, which is all we need to get through life. But we are capable of developing into something higher; just as an acorn can stay an acorn and die or develop into an oak tree....

Clarity and understanding!!
Revisado: 06-11-23
I was born into a Gurdjieff community and grew up around this influence. I found this book, very clarifying, and helping me to understand some elusive aspects of the work. Thank you

Mainstream science - as well as religious and cultural institutions - has maintained that men and women evolved in families in which a man's possessions and protection were exchanged for a woman's fertility and fidelity. But this narrative is collapsing....

Fantastic book!!!
Revisado: 06-12-17
This book will help you whether polyamorous or monogamous.
This book has greatly expanded my awareness and understanding of the variety of types of intimate relationship and how to navigate them with integrity. It is great to see that there are ethical options for love relationships outside of the box of monogamy programming I grew up with.
