Historia
"Marley was dead to begin with...." These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge? Or had he?

I am weepinggggg
Revisado: 12-22-20
This book took a Christmas Carol to a whole new level of depth. The ending is much longer and has so much detail that I always pondered about. I will re listen to this book next year 😭

When Rupert Murdoch enlisted Roger Ailes to launch a cable news network in 1996, American politics and media changed forever. With a remarkable level of detail and insight, Vanity Fair magazine reporter Gabriel Sherman puts Ailes’s unique genius on display, along with the outsize personalities - Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Megyn Kelly, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Glenn Beck, Mike Huckabee, Gretchen Carlson, Bill Shine, and others - who have helped Fox News play a defining role in the great social and political controversies of the past two decades.

Extremely well researched.

This is a densely written book and thoroughly researched... I am amazed at the quotes the author was able to get. I have never read a more unbiased yet revealing piece of writing about a controversial political figure. And this was even before the fox sexual abuse scandal!

Historia
Derek Black grew up at the epicenter of white nationalism. His father founded Stormfront, the largest racist community on the Internet. His godfather, David Duke, was a KKK Grand Wizard. By the time Derek turned 19, he had become an elected politician with his own daily radio show - already regarded as the "the leading light" of the burgeoning white nationalist movement. "We can infiltrate," Derek once told a crowd of white nationalists. "We can take the country back." Then he went to college.

Historia
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Review from a Seventh Day Adventist Christian
Revisado: 01-22-20
This book was recommended to me and had very high expectations of the book. Being an SDA, the elimination of hurry has not been a particular struggle for me, as I have grown up in a community who practices Sabbath weekly.
I was not aware that the Sabbath would be one of the main point of this book... I have to say I cried.
Sabbath is such a beautiful covenant between us and God... however so many friends of mine have abandon it. It meant so much to hear someone outside of my SDA community speak so passionately and knowledgeably about the Sabbath and keeping it holy. Thank you for this. Thank you for highlighting it’s importance. It was beautifully done.
