Learn to approach the critical decisions in your life with a more seasoned, educated eye with this fascinating 24-lecture series that explores how individuals, groups, and organizations make effective decisions. The heart of this accessible series is a thorough examination of decision making at three key levels. First, you'll look at decisions made at the individual level, where, among the many things you'll learn is that intuition is more than just a gut instinct and, in fact, represents a powerful pattern recognition capability.

This should be required reading for anyone in a leadership position. A lot of the stuff covered in this had me shouting "Thats what I've been saying!" It was a validation on views that Ive held and espoused.

Stunning...a wonderful listen...a handbook for life. Those words of advance praise from another celebrated author scarcely convey just how powerfully mesmerizing is the latest book by New York Times best-selling author and nationally syndicated radio talk show host Larry Elder. Dear Father, Dear Son is a personal memoir of Elder's troubled - one might even say tortured - relationship with his father, and the astonishing outcome that develops when Elder, at long last, confronts him.

Historia
In his early 20s, Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, rose to the heights of fame and power in the cutthroat music business. A decade ago, the multi-platinum selling rap artist decided to pivot. His ability to adapt to change was demonstrated when he became the executive producer and star of Power, a high-octane, gripping crime drama centered around a drug kingpin's family. The series quickly became "appointment" television, leading to Jackson inking a four-year, $150 million contract with the Starz network - the most lucrative deal in premium cable history.

Blown Away
Revisado: 07-12-21
I saw this book on a Barnes and Noble shelf and was intrigued. I got in on Audible as this is the best way for me to get through books. Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent is a brilliant business man. I knew he had some good business dealings (Vitamin Water) and thats what made me make the purchase. I learned that Mr. Jackson and I have a lot in common in life philosophies. He looks for people to make him think and question himself as do I.
I always LIKED 50 Cent... But I grown to LOVE Curtis Jackson. I hope he makes more books as he has blown me away and caught me off guard with this one.

Your argument is valid and you know it; yet once again you find yourself leaving a debate feeling defeated and embarrassed. The matter is only made worse when you realize that your defeat came at the hands of someone's abuse of logic - and that with the right skills you could have won the argument. The ability to recognize logical fallacies when they occur is an essential life skill. Mastering Logical Fallacies is the clearest, boldest, and most systematic guide to dominating the rules and tactics of successful arguments.

Argument from authority IS a fallacy.
Revisado: 10-05-20
Author claims that argument from authority is okay as long as they have proper credentials. i dont care if people have 50 PhDs. If their reasons are fallacious...that means my opponents reason for trusting them is fallacious. The person's reasons/premises are what matter. A lot of credentialed and smart people say very illogical things.
An author trying to give lessons on good argumentation shouldn't use weak arguments as a "counterarguments" to the reader. The author is bent toward the political left. His NRA example was embarrassing. Claiming the "well regulated militia" portion supercedes the "the right of the people"... Its the "right of the people" not the "right of the militia"... Im guessing the author does little homework on opposing arguments.
Premise 1)Militias are citizen armies...ie armies made of "the people"
Premise 2) Take "the people's" right to bear arms away
Conclusion: The people that make up the "well-regulated militia that is necessary to the security of a free state" is left unarmed. Security of a free state is compromised.

Before the days of going toe-to-toe with the Avengers, a younger Loki is desperate to prove himself heroic and capable, while it seems everyone around him suspects him of inevitable villainy and depravity...except for Amora. Asgard's resident sorceress-in-training feels like a kindred spirit - someone who values magic and knowledge, who might even see the best in him. But when Loki and Amora cause the destruction of one of Asgard's most prized possessions, Amora is banished to Earth, where her powers will slowly and excruciatingly fade to nothing.

Revisado: 09-17-19
Like the concept of taking Loki in an anti-hero direction... I find it unoriginal to infuse modern politics into your writing and taking obvious swipes at those that dont politically align with you... I could ignore some, but it got more evident as the story went on... I started the story intrigued, ended disappointed....

Historia
For us Jews who grew up in Israel, Jesus and his word were never part of the conversation. Not in our school system, not in our synagogues, and not in our media. Nor do we have easy access to the New Testament. Jesus has been studiously avoided and hidden from our people. After almost 2,000 years, Jesus, or as we call him in Hebrew, Yeshua, can no longer be hidden from the people! Now, we can explain the Gospel to our people in a way that makes sense to them, in our own native tongues of Hebrew and Arabic, as only Israelis can and help our people understand who Yeshua really is.

Love that Eitan decided to write a book...
Revisado: 04-29-19
Ive watched Eitan on One for Israel for a long time via YouTube. I was very nominal and when I learned about Messianic prophecy through One for Israel and Dr. Michael Brown my faith went from a simple "I believe in Jesus..." to a "Woh... this is like... REAL... like...REALLY REAL..." I still to this day love approaching nominals and read from a Jewish Tanakh and when they tell me its Jesus... watch their face as i show them it is from a "Jewish Bible".. I even had a Muslim that was clearly mulling over passages as we read prophecy from the Jewish Virtual Library... One for Israel, Eitan, Moti, and Dr. Michael Brown have been Godsends...

The lectures herewith presented have been prepared in accordance with the request and appointment of the First Presidency of the Church. The greater number of the addresses were delivered before the Theology Class of the Church University; and, after the close of the class sessions, the lectures were continued before other Church organizations engaged in the study of theology. To meet the desire expressed by the Church authorities - that the lectures be published for use in the various educational institutions of the Church - the matter has been revised, and is now presented in this form.

Historia
In an eloquent defense of Calvinist theology, author and professor Michael Horton invites us to explore the teachings of Calvinism - also commonly known as Reformed theology - by showing how it is biblical and Christ-centered, leading us to live our lives for the glory of God. The system of theology known as Calvinism has been immensely influential for the past 500 years, but it's often encountered negatively as a fatalistic belief system that confines human freedom and renders human action and choice irrelevant.

A must listen for both sides...
Revisado: 05-16-17
Once though myself as an Arminian... now thinking Molinist....
The issues I have with Calvinism weren't all addressed, but this book cleared up a lot of misunderstanding.
My problem is really hearing Calvinists and thinking "yea, I agree with most of the things you say..."
Then hearing Arminians and thinking "I agree with even more of what you say..."
I honestly believe the truth is somewhere in the middle... which Molinism seems to be where it lies...
This will be one of the great questions answered by the Messiah when we are all standing in our glorified bodies before Him...
