While not a true story this book incorporates many true events that occurred in Italy while the world was at war ver. 2. This makes you think about all the horrors of war and its capricious nature along with the strength of the human spirit no matter its age.

WOW! What an amazing book about a critical subject that was ignored/buried/shrugged off for far too long. It is also a book that makes you think hard about many aspects of history, the present and future of mankind. Most enjoyable and one I will certainly recommend and listen to again.

A great listen which gave me insight into an actor I have enjoyed since my childhood. While not being a memoir I think it gave me insight into what is really important to William Shatner. Being 2/3 of his age made me appreciate the reflections in a life well spent. A hardily recommended listen/read.

I was enjoying this book very much until chapter nine. I stopped listening about half say through the chapter. The liberal rant was something that tainted my previous enjoyment.

As much as I enjoyed the book, I think the information supplied in the appendix was equally enjoyable. It gave rise to many new avenues to follow in the pursuit of technological and scientific ponderings. If you especially like the science in science fiction you will really like this book. I am certain I will listen to Seeker several times. I cannot wait to check out Richard’s other writings.

What did you love best about Oberon's Meaty Mysteries: The Squirrel on the Train?

Having listened to all of the Iron Druid Chronicles I found the entire short story extremely enjoyable. I found the best part to be Oberon playing a central role. The worlds greatest hound always keeps things light and humorous. Luke Daniels brings Oberon, and all the characters, to life with his reading and more importantly his interpretations of their moods.

What did you like best about this story?

Although I enjoy the unabridged books in their 8-10+ hour lengths, there are times when a short story or novella fits my needs. This was one of those stories that fit perfectly into my current my mood and activities.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't know that there was a favorite scene but my favorite interactions are always Oberon and any squirrel. His attitude towards squirrels and their schemes always brings to mind a Beagle who shared my childhood so many years ago. I am certain her attitude towards squirrels mirrored Oberon's.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I do not recall being moved especially but I was always entertained. On more than one occasion I was laughing aloud.

Any additional comments?

I hope the characters from the Iron Druid carry on for many more years in both book, novella, and short story form. In fact, ANY form of them would find a spot in my library.
