Mark’s Gospel from the widely acclaimed modern literary classic The New Testament in Scots now available as an audio digital download for the first time. Tom Fleming's reading brings out the poetry, wit, and humanity of William Lorimer's translation in a way which speaks to everyone. Lorimer (1885-1967) immersed himself in the Scots language from childhood, learning the rich Angus dialect of his locality. He devoted the last decade of his life to translating the New Testament into Scots.

He reads it like a children's story
Revisado: 10-02-22
Like Matthew, this reader reads it like a children's story. It's a great listen. Still there's 5 red letter books in the New Testament, 4 Gospels and Revelation... so of course I want him to read Revelation too to complete the set.

It's awesome! He tries his best. He tries to read it like he's reading to kids. It's a wonderful read.
Tom Fleming just needs to read Revelation... finish up the Red Letter books in the New Testament.

It's level 4 in this Series
Revisado: 10-03-20
This is wonderful. You do want to download the PDF and follow along if you are brave enough to only get this one as an adult, instead of Level 1, 2, and 3 first. Only Spanish and French have Level 4 in this series. 1. Teach Me 2. Teach Me More 3. Teach Me Even More 4. Teach Me Spiritual Songs The basic premise is being able to visit as a child a Catholic Church or a Christian Church and understand fundamentally what is happening. That said... this is level 4, which means it has the expectation that you have completed levels 1, 2, and 3 before approaching it.

Start at track 12
Revisado: 08-29-20
Language 30 was always about stuffing a school course or two inside the smallest amount of space. The speakers are important, and this Irish one is rough enough to be realistic, but clean enough to get something out of. At least for me, I want to get vocabulary before phrases, it is quicker to learn and gives me a library of sounds to work with. In order to do that, track 12 is the start. Also, the instructions are speak after the second pronunciation, not the first. And, run through the tracks 20 times.

This is the classic 9 CD set converted for Audible
Revisado: 03-01-18
Having tried a variety of learning Japanese methods, including Eurotalk, Transparent Language, Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, college classes, and immersion in Japan, I can say that while immersion in Japan is far superior to all other options, this 9 CD set, with it's accompanying reading material, was one of the best options ever made for learning Japanese. That said, this conversion for Audible is not the same quality as the original CDs, which is most evident in certain sound transitions that seem slurred. Nevertheless, if you're learning Japanese and can't make it to Japan and you don't know 9 CDs worth of Japanese, then this should be in your library.

Can't beat the Bible storyline
Revisado: 08-18-16
I've never read a better storyline than the classic 66 book Bible has and I can't imagine there ever being one. I mean what adventure, right? The New Testament is part two and the conflict which exists simultaneously in two different realms though time exists differently in each realm comes to a conclusion just shy of a few chapters of the last book of Revelation. It's spectacular, showing communications of the clear and the cryptic sort. In fact, the prophecies to the center and the inciting of part two are scattered all over the place... they are in no one location, making even their placement cryptic. God is an excellent storyteller.
