Historia
Reverend Augustus Shackleford's mission in life (aside from ensuring the collection box was suitably full every Sunday) was to secure advantageous marriages for each of his eight daughters. A tall order, given the fact that in the Reverend's opinion they didn't possess a single ladylike bone in the eight bodies they had between them. Quite where he would find a wealthy titled gentleman bottle headed enough to take any of them on remained a mystery and indeed was likely to test even his legendary resourcefulness.

Unfortunately, not my cup of tea
Revisado: 04-23-24
I listened to this because of the good reviews, so many people commented on that was funny and clever. It wasn’t it was mediocre at best. If you like romances, it’s OK if you’re not into sappy romances, it’s pretty awful.

Historia
Lady Jane Lovelace has conceived the idea of approaching the most notorious man-about-town, Lord Charles Welbourne, with a most unique proposition. When he counters her offer with a condition that he thinks will halt her impudence, much to the surprise of both, she accepts. A novel of passion and intrigue, The Westerby Inheritance is a thrilling installment in an emotionally charged romantic saga, all played out against a backdrop of elegant 18th-century society.

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-05-23
I have now read several of Marion Chesney‘s romances, some of them better than others, but overall, I just don’t think they’re very well written, and the characters are mostly pretty unlikable and really stupid when it comes to relationships. Although I like her later works, I finally admit to myself that I just don’t like these romances And I won’t be reading any more

Revisado: 01-29-21
This book was not what I expected. It took me by surprise that it was so lovely, almost like poetry. It really touched my spirit. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is seeking to deep in their relationship, and trust in God.

Meh.
Revisado: 01-29-21
This book has very little depth of character, and the narrator sounded like a 14-year-old. The high squeaky voice drove me nuts. Very juvenile, except for the frequent and graphic sex scenes. I would not read any further in the series and probably not by this author.

Historia
Sarai was a child of ten years, wise for her age but not yet a woman, when she first met Abram. He appeared before her in her father's house, filthy from the desert, tired and thirsty. But as the dirt of travel was washed from his body, the sight of him filled her heart. And when Abram promises Sarai to return in ten years to take her for his wife, her fate was sealed. Abram kept his promise, and Sarai kept hers. They were wed, and so joined the royal house of Ur with the high priesthood of the Hebrews. So began a lifetime of great joy together,

Historia
Ten years ago, Craig Johnson wrote his first short story, the Hillerman Award-winning "Old Indian Trick". This was one of the earliest appearances of the sheriff who would go on to star in Johnson’s best-selling, award-winning novels and the A&E hit series Longmire. Each Christmas Eve thereafter, fans rejoiced when Johnson sent out a new short story featuring an episode in Walt’s life that doesn’t appear in the novels; over the years, many have asked why they can’t buy the stories in book form.

Interesting with two readers
Revisado: 03-02-18
The series is interesting, but I thought it could've been improved at the readers made sure that they were both using the same pronunciation. It's jarring to hear terms and names be pronounced completely differently by readers his characters should be using the same dialect.

Horrible recording
Revisado: 12-12-17
The sound in this book is awful the story is fine the narrator is OK, but the quality of this recording is far below Audible standards. I also hate that only an abridgment for this book and the next one in the series is available is. Time to update this! I felt like for the price it was a complete rip off.
