I love Ilona Andrews but I found Catalina to be unlikeable and judgmental. I don’t know if it’s her disdain for others or her rigid control of her powers but she needs to loosen up. Nevada was kind of like this when we first met her so maybe Catalina will grow on me as her character grows. I also found myself bristling at the way Nevada is portrayed to be petty and insufferable by her family.

As with many romance novels, there isn’t much conflict in the plot. But! It is very steamy and the characters have amazing chemistry so I would read it again. Stella Bloom does a great job with the low male voices. Her range is just perfect.

I enjoyed the narrator's dreamy voice with this story. It's exactly how I would expect Rialla's voice to sound like. The characters were distinctive from each other and she spoke in a consistently controlled cadence that was easy to listen to and understand.
