Historia
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a well-tested collection of practical techniques for managing moods and modifying undesirable behaviors through self-awareness, critical analysis, and goal-oriented change. CBT illuminates the links between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical health and uses those connections to develop concrete plans for self-improvement. In 24 engaging half-hour lectures, you'll build a robust and effective self-improvement toolkit with the expert guidance of Professor Satterfield of the University of California, San Francisco.

Exceptional Information! Potential limitations.

The case studies were useful. I really thought Carroll was a cool, interesting person. The methods used were practical. There is much here that am individual could use to reevaluate their life direction. The limitations would seem to be; This approach would work best with above average intelligent people. Low functioning people will have problems with the level of abstract thinking required to chart their own course. This would be a wrong choice for narcissistic people because the client sets the goals. The existential assumptions of life meaning would again be difficult for low functioning and narcissistic people, and may be self destructive for them. The principles would be difficult with unmotivated people.
I liked the Dr. personally. However, because there is such a deemphasis on feelings, many clients will not "feel" like they are getting much from the relationship itself.
