Intricate Plot, Excellent Performance

At first I thought that this was going to be an uninspired, formulaic American Hero novel. I was wrong. While it incorporates all of the elements basic to such a work the plot twists and many layers revealed the imagination and craft of the author. Importantly this audio book is supported by an outstanding performance. Then tenor and tone along with the ability to separate characters in dialogue with believable accents kept me listening. Kudos!

Clever Take

Orphan X is a unique and clever, take on a formulaic human hero storyline. It kept me engaged and looking forward to the next chapter and finally to the next book in the series. The performance was outstanding. GOOD JOB to all involved.

Fascinating History!

Author and narrator, Dan Jones did a wonderful job describing Henry V’s life and the era in which he lived. I feel like I have a better understanding for this time in English history. Historical works can sometimes be caught up with so many names, dates, and places that they become analogous to a tangled ball of yarn, hard to follow. This is NOT the case with Mr. Jones‘s effort. Henry V is clear, easy to follow, skillfully written, narrated and interesting!Thank you Mr Jones!

Well narrated story

The plot did not inspire this reader but I don’t think it was the author’s intent to inspire. He examined a small slice of the American Pie and articulated truth as he saw it. Ed Harris delivered with a good narration.

another interesting and excellently narrated novel. The Gray Man series doesn’t disappoint if you like action and international thrillers. Thank you and please keep writing Mr Greaney.

The Gray Man Survives Certain Death to Live on to His Next Exciting Adventure

Mr Greaney comes up with yet another original and complex plot excellently narrated to keep this reader’s attention. Maybe I’ll take a breather and read some history after which it’s off to the next book in the series.

Mother Goose meets Father Ghoul

Innocence and generosity turn to suspicion and perseverance as suspense builds to a climactic conclusion in this believably narrated tale. An excellent “read”! Well done!

Walk In My Shoes

The author paints a poignant portrait, narrating his arduous journey as a nine year old old traveling “alone” but with newly met loving compadres from El Salvador’to Tucson where, after years of separation, he rejoins his parents. This beautifully written and narrated first person account brings humanity to the faceless, nameless people who, against all odds,seek the American Dream.

A Fantastic Listen

I can see why this book was nominated for a Pulitzer. The writing is superb, and in terms of the audio production, the readers were nothing less than fantastic, capturing, filling out the characters. They were equal to the level of the outstanding writing. It is not my usual genre, but if you are interested in history, as well as the mystery of this unfathomable experience that we call life ya just gotta listen to this!!!
