The narrator was awful…sounded so robotic I finally quit listening halfway through. Storyline was boring, characters lackluster. Wasted choice.

Another disappointment

The last Cornwell book I stopped listening to early on, it was awful. Against my better judgment, I tried another one. I made it until the fifth chapter and can’t listen anymore. So slow developing and I cannot take how everyone is out to undermine the character and how weak she is. This will absolutely be my last try, I have wasted enough money. The reader was good though.

Throughly enjoyed listening to this book. Interesting, good pace of story, and I love the main characters. Usually I listen to a book to help me go to sleep, but with this one I stayed up all night listening to the finish.

I was anxious for this release and what a disappointment. I could not get the slightest involvement in the weak, uninteresting plot. The narration was annoying for the first few chapters, improved later on. I kept listening, thinking it would improve, but never did. No sense of suspense…boring.

Cannot stand the main character

The main character is decidedly unlikable, I found myself unable to listen to his sophomoric conversations to the point where I deleted the book. In the short part I listened to, he made a pejorative gay reference and untold negative comments and observations about women. He made a comment about women and guns never being a good idea…I happen to be very good with guns. I may have been able to tolerate his misogyny and frat boy persona a little longer, but the stories were boring.
