Historia
For over 20 years, Stephen and Ondrea Levine have supported thousands of people caught in the aftermath of grief and loss, including many women deeply hurt by sexual trauma. Now on Opening the Heart of the Womb, Stephen Levine addresses this hidden heartache, offering a gentle 3-part meditation that is so effective it made the original Womb Meditation tape an underground best seller by word of mouth alone.

Historia
For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

Very funny
Revisado: 05-25-20
Nothing very deep but very entertaining, partly because of the light tone and writing and partly because of the nostalgia. This made me want to replay the video games from my childhood and I might do just that!

Literally Magical
Revisado: 05-09-20
I love this book so much. Not like I love an interesting story, or a helpful word of advice. No, I love it like I love a friend, a person I want to spend my whole life around to be constantly exposed to their wisdom so that I won't forget how life ought to be lived. And if I ever do, if I ever wander back to destructive, negative mindsets, they will be there to remind me.
This is a fairly short listen, but it is deeply inspiring. It is not the type of structured books that offer scientifically proven ways to solve your problems and make you take notes every chapter. This book's essence is very philosophical, it speaks shamelessly of the metaphysical, and flows lightly like a story. Elizabeth Gilbert is also a wonderful narrator. She has this soft, soothing voice and this gentle inflection that makes listening to the audiobook an intimate experience, almost dream-like. In this book, she aims to calm you and reassure you with hard truths, and in the process make your mind open to this paradox and many more.
Ultimately, this book will not hold the same value for everyone. I trust that I will listen to it again, as many times as I need to fill myself with its loveliness. If you feel lost and scared and lonely, then I believe this book would help you. If you feel alright and can afford to, listen to it anyway. There is precious insight in there.

Quality writing
Revisado: 03-27-20
While a few chapters towards the end were weak compared to the powerful first half, this book remains a great reference and makes very good points. In fact this is my second listen and I relearned a lot; I believe this won't be my last time coming back to this book. It definitely has a lot more information than I remembered from my first time, and simply applying half of it will be a pretty long process. Still, I believe it will be worth it.

Historia
Billy Kelly's This Is a Family Show! is a stand-up comedy experience (with music) that parents and kids can enjoy together. From jokes about nocturnal animals and microwaves to Ben Franklin and people throwing turtles, the whole family will laugh along while listening to this comedian’s unique perspectives. It’s comedy toast with the crust cut off. Who needs all that crusty talk about dating, politics, and money, anyway?

Lighthearted and.relaxing
Revisado: 03-22-20
I've.enjoyed this very much! I've been listening to it before sleep and it's definitely the kind of lighthearted content I wish to see more of. Nothing fancy, the jokes are very basic but I found them funny and the performance is heartwarming. Since English isn't my first language I expected a lot of jokes to go over my head, and few of them did, but overall this was very accessible.

Historia
Women have a important biological rhythm they experience every month that affects productivity, weight, sex drive, energy, and mood. It is essential to be aware of and take care of this rhythm, but it has been widely ignored by medical, nutrition, and fitness research. So as women, we diet, we deprive, and we cram as much as possible into our day, striving to accomplish impossible to-do lists, and scheduling our lives based on a 24-hour time cycle, ignoring the intuitive time our bodies naturally keep: a monthly cycle with four hormonal phases that offer incredible advantages.

Brings you home to yourself
Revisado: 03-14-20
Inspiring on so many different levels, a must-read for women who struggle to prove themselves and are trapped dealing with perfectionism, the modern society and its productivity cult.
The practical advice is essentially the same as in the author's other book, Woman Code, but the narrative is centered towards inspiring women to embark on a journey towards self-awareness and intuitive change. If you are not familiar with the author's other writings, this is a good introduction to her approach.
If you have a certain knowledge and interest in diets and health in general, you are likely to find health advice that goes against what you are convinced of. Regardless of that, you could still benefit from the advice. The point of this book is not to make you perfectly mimic the diet and exercise plans presented therein. Rather, the point is to make you aware of certain facts and patterns to make you redesign your lifestyle, and to encourage you to force less on your body and become more receptive to its moods. So if you take no practical advice from the book (though they are plenty and you will surely find something you can apply), you will at least find inspiration and precious lessons on how to reduce friction with your own body.
