Historia
Lisey lost her husband, Scott, two years ago, after a 25-year marriage of profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. Scott was an award-winning, best-selling novelist and a very complicated man. Early in their relationship, before they married, Lisey knew there was a place Scott went - a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it’s Lisey’s turn to face Scott’s demons, to go to that terrifying place known as Boo’ya Moon.

Mare does a brilliant job with her performance narration of this book. I really enjoy reading this story but Mare really helps with the immersive experience with this audio book. Thank you.

Narrator disappointing.
Revisado: 07-17-24
I'm frustrated with the narrator. The tone is grating and nearly monotonous. I enjoy this story but really not enjoying the narration.

Frustrations
Revisado: 02-10-24
I find this author over complicates his plots. Further he has at least character is beyond clueless regarding what is happening in every book that becomes very annoying.

Ida Pederson was an executive at ‘Nyberg Shoreline’ when she was sent to the small Northern Irish village of Port Kriel to diffuse tensions between the company and the local community. When an unexploded bomb was identified on the seabed near Nyberg’s windfarm, Ida sent a local crew of eight men to investigate. That night, only two men returned home, barely alive and unable to speak of what had happened out at sea.

Cast Hard To Hear
Revisado: 01-12-24
While the sound effects were good and added to the overall experience of the story, they were too loud and it was difficult to hear the cast clearly above the din. Frustrating.

Historia
By age 25, Heather Anderson had hiked what is known as the "Triple Crown" of backpacking: the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail - a combined distance of 7,900 miles with a vertical gain of more than one million feet. A few years later, she left her job, her marriage, and a dissatisfied life and walked back into those mountains. In her new memoir, Heather shares her distinct message of courage - her willingness to turn away from the predictability of a more traditional life in an effort to seek out what most fulfills her.

Frustrating
Revisado: 01-12-24
Frustrating to listen to the absolutely bad decision after bad decision in this story. As a hiker and trail runner in the mountains of Montana where I live, Heather's failure to use the common sense you are taught when in the wilderness made me shake my head. Just too irritating for me to praise.

Wish narrator would have been different,
Revisado: 09-22-23
I understand that Justine Lupe played Holly in the Mr. Mercedes series, but I feel like Will Patton actually hit the tone of Holly. So, Justine's read was a bit flat for me. Other than that, it was a great book and it's good to catch up with Holly, Jerome, and Barbara.

Nostalgia reading this one.
Revisado: 08-29-23
This was my first Stephen King novel. 1975, reading on my bed at 11 years old transfixed. I still have that book and all the rest in a bookshelf completely dedicated to King. It's like visiting an old friend. Is it a bit dated? Yes. But no one develops characters like King. This book will always be a favorite, it was the gateway to my passion for reading. Thank you Stephen. Keep them coming.

And the next victim will be the most shocking of all....

Way too graphic
Revisado: 08-18-23
I am a horror and crime novel fan and this violence crossed over into the gratuitous land. I couldn't finish it with just under 3 hours left. True crime doesn't get this bad. Crossing this author of my list.

Historia
The final novel from a great American storyteller. Donal Cameron is being raised by his grandmother, the cook at the legendary Double W ranch in Ivan Doig's beloved Two Medicine Country of the Montana Rockies, a landscape that gives full rein to an 11-year-old's imagination. But when Gram has to have surgery for "female trouble" in the summer of 1951, all she can think to do is to ship Donal off to her sister in faraway Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
