This is the second mystery in the Bangalore Detectives Club series.

I read the third book, and was so fascinated by it, that I read the first mystery, which explained many details that had happened in the third mystery. I think it would be best to read/listen to all 3 books in correct sequence, however, each book can be read as standalone.

The book is most brilliantly written, and the narrator is superb. This really is an outstanding and entertaining series to read, and it will remain in my memory, evoking scenes of intriguing, colorful and charming India. I now feel like I have just returned from another trip to Bangalore, even though the mysteries take place in the mid 1910s'.

The characters are vividly described, and all actions are believable and almost real. The plot is twisted, and all the problems were resolved at the end.

I most highly recommend this series to all mystery lovers who also like to immerse themselves in another culture and in another era.

Brilliant, simply brilliant work by such an accomplished author!

As soon as I finished the previous mystery in this series, I had to listen to this next chapter in the Cozy Capers Book Group.

This book is just as delightful as all of Maddie's other books, but what makes it even more satisfying is that the protagonist Mac Almeida finally gets married to her sweetheart. The wedding does happen even though a murder and a cold case from years ago tried and tried unsuccessfully at stalling it. Mac wins twice...she solves the murder, and gets the guy!

I love all the cozy scenes in these mysteries, and I interacting with all the characters in my mind. It was a very fun (but short) book to listen to, and the narrator is top notch. I love how she can characterize all the players via her flexible intonations and accents. I hope she will narrate all the rest of these books!

Another great recommendation that will appeal to any cozy mystery lover.

This is the first book in a series featuring Margaret (Mags) Munroe, an Irish police officer.

It is interesting to know all about her insecurities, and through her we learn about the gossipy small village where she lives, everybody is in everyone's business, and happenings spread like the plague in a matter of minutes.

There is a murder, which Mags must investigate, but the murder is more like a side story...the most interesting reading is about the people and their idiosyncrasies and quirks. There are also lessons to be learned on parenting, mothers-in-law, and relationships with a spouse.

This was a short book, which left me wanting to read more.

I recommend it!

Anything Ms. Ellen Byron ends up being a fun read all around.

I listened to the Audible version of this book, and really enjoyed the narrator Amy Melissa Bentley!!!

This is the first book in the series that I have read, and now I want to start at the beginning.

The characters are engaging and quite alive. Once again I feel like I just came back from NOLA(New Orleans, LA). I say "again" because I have read the other series by Ms. Byron with a NOLA location.

The humor in this book is so much fun to read and laugh out loud.

The plot is complicated by many surprises and intrigue, but in the end everything is revealed and tied up well. I did not guess who the murderer was, but it made sense, and the clues were right there in front of me.

I highly recommend this cozy mystery with a Halloween theme, idea for October reading!

I truly enjoyed this cozy mystery, which is the first in the Cat lady Mysteries.

Ms. Reilly surely knows how to write cozy mysteries that engage you from the first to the last page.

I really recommend this book to all cozy mystery fans, especially if they like cats.

This review is about the audible version of the book.

This book grabbed my full attention from the first word uttered by brilliant actor/narrator Lesley Manville. I also was entranced by actor/narrator Allan Corduner, who narrated the Atticus Pund Takes The Case book within a book.

The author is a master of mystery, intrigue and convoluted, yet plausible plots. He makes the characters come alive with witty dialogue and vivid descriptions.

This is the second book in this series, preceded by The Magpie Murders, which I watched on PBS, but now will listen to, since surely the book will be so much richer than the TV series.

I read cozy mysteries constantly, and this book is not really "cozy", but it is a heavyweight mystery worth investing in the thrilling 18 hours and 28 minutes. You will enjoy every single one of them. Sadly, it had to come to an end., but there is the promise of book #3 being published this coming year. I am also eager to read Mr. Horowitz's other series.

5 stars don't seem enough to give to this book. Amazing!

This is the last (8th.) book in the Poppy McAllister mystery series. After enjoying the previous books, I never thought Libby Klein could write an even funnier cozy murder mystery, but I was "dead" wrong! This book offered a hilarious, intriguing and complex plot. All the characters were very well developed, and I was happy to interact with them in my mind.

Ms. Klein's brilliantly written books are full of wit and her humor resonates with me. I just wish I could go on reading more and more funny antics with Poppy and Aunt Ginny at the helm. Now I have to wait until next year for the next installment.

I definitely recommend this book, and all the previous ones in this series. Thank you, Libby Klein, for all the hours of fun you have given me.
