Good story, BUT…
Revisado: 04-15-25
It’s great storyline like the rest of the Hunger Games series. But the reader SUCKS! His whiny voice really steals away from the story. At times he reads painfully slow and whiny, other times he reads quickly, so much so I missed key parts.

Historia
Stephen Friedman is just inches away from everything he could ever desire. It's Los Angeles in the early 70s, and Friedman is living the groovy southern California life of a real-estate wheeler dealer. He's making money hand-over-fist and has long given up hope of finding the family he's lost in worn-torn Poland. But when a deceased woman's papers reveal that she possessed a priceless religious relic, and that she may have been his mother, Stephen becomes hungry for answers. A hunger that may kill him.

I LOVE this book but…

The reader misses some of the enthusiasm in the book. The read was ok for the Circle trilogy, but not so much for Obsessed

Historia
Legendary director, writer, and actor Paul Feig joins me for our very first episode. Note to listeners: he’s in a seven-piece suit, and I’m in sweatpants. It’s great. You'll hear all about my first kiss, and Paul's own awkward romances (like the ones that inspired his show "Freaks and Geeks”). Plus, Paul shares his experiences from “The Office.” I learn the creative process doesn’t really get easier, even after decades in the industry. Please note, Funny Cuz It’s True contains mature themes and may not be appropriate for all listeners. Stay up to date with us on Twitter, ...

You didn’t listen to me, eh?
Revisado: 01-25-23
Yep, a unentertaining story about she first kiss that she was peer pressured into. I guess we all have stupid stories about how we got peer pressured into doing stupid things. I sorry listening to this podcast was mine.

Historia
As Adolf Hitler and the Nazis seduced a nation, bullied a continent, and attempted to exterminate the Jews of Europe, a small number of dissidents and saboteurs worked to dismantle the Third Reich from the inside. One of these was Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor and author. In this New York Times bestselling biography, Eric Metaxas takes both strands of Bonhoeffer's life—the theologian and the spy—and draws them together to tell a searing story of incredible moral courage in the face of monstrous evil.

Man, Eric Metaxas did A LOT of research into details about Bonhoeffer and the history surrounding his time, that influenced his decisions and beliefs!
I look forward to hearing another book from Eric Metaxas!
