Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Best Audio Book I Have Listened To. Fantastic!!!
Revisado: 05-15-15
This is a wonderful, entertaining and interesting story. It follows a life that is twenty lives in one. I love how the author wove the characters life into historical events in a rather comedic and clever way. This is a very positive book with lots of good feelings. The author has an excellent way of discussing hard topics too. The story is incredible and makes you think about your own life, how you are living it, your outlook on it. It also helps you realize that no matter your age, you have the potential to live as many lives as you can imagine and that your attitude is a huge part of how you experience your time. The narrator is great, perfect voice for this book, he really keeps you engaged. The story is never ever boring and always evolving in the best way! I found it very entertaining. I highly recommend this to everyone!!!

Historia
The Goldfinch is a haunted odyssey through present-day America and a drama of enthralling force and acuity. It begins with a boy. Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, miraculously survives an accident that kills his mother. Abandoned by his father, Theo is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. Bewildered by his strange new home on Park Avenue, disturbed by schoolmates who don't know how to talk to him, and tormented above all by his unbearable longing for his mother, he clings to one thing that reminds him of her: a small, mysteriously captivating painting that ultimately draws Theo into the underworld of art.

Beautiful, Real, and Moving.
Revisado: 03-24-14
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the main character was discussing love of art, love of old things, and his realizations of how life works I felt this was so very insightful and it just hit me right in my heart. The author has put into words my feelings of art and old things. I feel as though she has justified my feelings and thoughts somehow and explained things I never could. There were many moments in this book, although they weren't directly sad, that i was moved to tears just from relating so clearly and from being submerged in the emotional thoughts she was expressing of peoples relationships with art and antiques and how these things live forever.
As for the comments on life, this is the first time I have read something that so clearly explains the point. No rainbows, just how it really is, and what is really important. This book has stayed with me and changed how I go about, and think about my life.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Excellent book, well performed!
Revisado: 03-24-14
What did you love best about Sycamore Row?
I loved that John Grisham gives you a truthful and complete view into the world of a small town lawyer. The story was extremely interesting, the narrator was excellent, and it was very intelligent. I feel like I learned so much about what its really like to be a lawyer. So different from what I had previous assumed and from what I believe many people probably assume. You also will received a complete account of a trial, its inner workings, and how wills work. Holy Cow. What a huge thing. So tedious, so complicated, so strategic.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character. Hes an interesting character and is developed well.
Which character – as performed by Michael Beck – was your favorite?
The main character. He does a great southern accent. I love it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The end. Extremely moving.
Any additional comments?
Its fantastic. This is an absolutely excellent audiobook.

SO GOOD. SO FUNNY! READ THIS BOOK.
Revisado: 03-24-14
If you could sum up One More Thing in three words, what would they be?
Intelligent, Hilarious, Satisfying.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think this book MUST be listened to. The narrators of this book are absolutely fantastic. They make this book (which is already excellent) come alive in a way that reading a book just can't.I wish B.J. Novak could be the narrator on many many more books. He was so enjoyable to listen to.
Any additional comments?
This book is smart, so funny, and so entertaining. Its one of my favorites now and I have bought a paper copy just to keep. I am SO glad I listened to it first. Its an excellent book to read, but its fantastic to listen to. Within the sharp, ironic, insightful comedy is a whole bunch of beautiful thoughts. It was one of those books that when I finished it, I missed it and wanted it to keep going. I also felt like I had been made happier (that warm fuzzy feeling that you get when you feel like you were better for the experience) and had gained insight from having listened to it. I highly recommend this audio book. Give it a listen. You will not be disappointing.

Emperor Mollusk. Intergalactic Menace. Destroyer of Worlds. Conqueror of Other Worlds. Mad Genius. Ex-Warlord of Earth. Not bad for a guy without a spine. But what's a villain to do after he's done... everything. With no new ambitions, he's happy to pitch in and solve the energy crisis or repel aliens invaders should the need arise, but if he had his way, he'd prefer to be left alone to explore the boundaries of dangerous science. Just as a hobby, of course. Retirement isn't easy though.

The performance of this book was extremely well done. All of the characters sounded great and unique! the narrator has a fantastic voice in general. This book allowed me to developed such a clear mental picture of the entire story, but didn't take control of my imagination. It let me fill in the blanks while providing all the support I needed. Story line is fun, funny and never boring.
