Revisado: 04-22-25
The stories were fine. The conclusion was not complex. It was more about the ride than the destination.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Pretty good look into a style of upbringing.

This only turns out to be interesting because JD went on to be our VP. Otherwise I think it would have left me feeling depressed.

Historia
At first, Logan Ramsay isn’t sure if anything’s different. He just feels a little . . . sharper. Better able to concentrate. Better at multitasking. Reading a bit faster, memorizing better, needing less sleep. But before long, he can’t deny it: Something’s happening to his brain. To his body. He’s starting to see the world, and those around him—even those he loves most—in whole new ways. The truth is, Logan’s genome has been hacked. And there’s a reason he’s been targeted for this upgrade.

Not disappointed but wouldn’t recommend.
Revisado: 09-24-24
It was not a waste of my 8 hour drive time because I needed something. Just wouldn’t recommend someone look for it to read. The performance was slow so we sped it up. That helped a lot.

Revisado: 03-06-18
I listened to Kill Shot and Transfer of power back to back. At first I thought I didn’t like this performance. Nick Sullivan grew on me as this story was more interesting.
I think I’ve had enough of Mitchell. I don’t enjoy stories so far from reality.

Where's the story?
Revisado: 09-11-17
I was looking for a story or event. This book was the longest timeline I have ever listened to in my life.
I'm not saying this information isn't important. If I was studying the topic, I would have found this book valuable.
This book was a list of very important facts that, technically, turn out to be a story, in the very loosest sense of the word. I only finished it because I had hoped I would be wrong.

In Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, novelist Jennifer Chiaverini presents a stunning account of the friendship that blossomed between Mary Todd Lincoln and her seamstress, Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Keckley, a former slave who gained her professional reputation in Washington, D.C. by outfitting the city’s elite. Keckley made history by sewing for First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln within the White House, a trusted witness to many private moments between the President and his wife, two of the most compelling figures in American history.

I didn't thing the voices were accurate. I'm sorry but a colored woman from the 1800's shouldn't be read by a white woman. It wasn't terrible, I didn't love it
