Historia
Separated by 10 years, 3,000 miles, and the unrelenting stresses of adulthood, best friends Janet and Serena plan a 40th birthday girls’ trip to reconnect. But after a massive crash, they’re the only survivors to wash ashore on an uncharted Caribbean Island. Armed with only the clothes on their backs and zero survival skills, they fight to overcome hunger, thirst, deadly wildlife—and most terrifyingly—decades of accrued resentment. I felt that the explanation for all the characters wasn’t really necessary. Overall it was okay.

I like Addie in England..
Revisado: 06-19-24
The story line was good, It seems she’s made friends and has a more social life than she did back home. I feel that now that the author has moved Addie there and she has a possible love interest she should continue there. I’m sorry but going back because Serena needs her is not a good enough reason. Serena has her whole family there Addie needs to make her own way and family. Besides what else is there for Addie to do but to work in her store and go home alone. The author shouldn’t be afraid to give Addie a significant other one that can compliment her and help with her snooping :)

Finlay Donovan and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero are in sore need of a girls’ weekend away. They plan a trip to Atlantic City, but odds are—seeing as it’s actually a cover story to negotiate a deal with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero’s childhood crush Javi, and hunt down a stolen car—it won’t be all fun and games. When Finlay’s ex-husband Steven and her mother insist on tagging along too, Finlay and Vero suddenly have a few too many meddlesome passengers along for the ride.

Historia
Life in Lake Eden, Minnesota, is usually pleasantly uneventful. Lately, though, it seems everyone has more than their fair share of drama to manage. Hannah is nervous about the upcoming trial for her involvement in a tragic accident. She's eager to clear her name once and for all, but her troubles only double when she finds the judge bludgeoned to death with his own gavel.

Disappointed on this twist on the story
Revisado: 05-29-23
Let me start by saying I have loved all of the books until this one. Even when Dr. Bev showed up and Norman almost married her with her lies. I have been team Norman from day one and it seems to me that this book was completely off the story lines of the other books. Why did the writer had to make Ross the bestman, when it was clear that Ross and Doc weren’t friends like that. The clear choice was Norman - or Mike if you wanted a twist. But Ross!?? (Ross shouldn’t ever been part of Hannah’s life like that.) And for Hannah to act that way with him clearly so out of character for her. And since when Mike only shows up when there’s food, really!?? Ugh! So much I hate about this book. Tracy, the child genius, the running of the cats (give me a break) and the coffee, cookies eating 24/7 (I can go into a diabetic shocked with just the thought) no real murder mystery on this one either. The whole thing seems so out of character for the writer I wonder if that was the mystery to be solve; did the writer actually wrote this book!?? Hmmm!

Finlay Donovan is - once again - struggling to finish her next novel and keep her head above water as a single mother of two. On the bright side, she has her live-in nanny and confidant Vero to rely on, and the only dead body she's dealt with lately is that of her daughter's pet goldfish. On the not-so-bright side, someone out there wants her ex-husband, Steven, out of the picture. Permanently. Whatever else Steven may be, he's a good father, but saving him will send her down a rabbit hole of soccer moms disguised as hit-women.
